SO here you go, Laura. I hope you like it! :D
So what's new? Not much, really. Spring break is here, and that is awesome. I"ve had my first weekend where I didn't absolutely have to do any homework, and that in and of itself was so relaxing. I seemed to have some side effects, though. As a result of not forcing my brain to think in a certain direction, it has taken the liberty of freeing itself from the confines of mamalian physiology, neuro science, biochemistry, and pathogenic microbiology, and decided to think about multiple things at one. As such, I've seemed to develop an interesting case of ADD. Lol, it started on Saturday when I was talking to Matt as we were driving towards downtown on an urban street instead of the freeway. I had never been down that street before, I just knew it would take us downtown from where we were. So I'm looking at all the different buildings we're passing, and a new thought occurs for each name I see. And I try to express my thoughts to Matt, but can never seem to get a full sentence out. "Hey, why do companies... OH! THAT's where that is!" Lol. It happened again yesterday when I was watching a couple of people drive like idiots on the freeway. I was trying to explain to Matt what was happening while it was happening, and he ended up having to tell me to get a full sentence out. Oops!
I also learned how to work on his car this past weekend. On Friday we got him some blue windshield wipers, so I learned how to put those on and off. On Saturday we got him some blue-tinted halogen lights, which he loves extremely and can't stop talking about every time we use them. And yesterday, he taught me how to change the oil and clean the brakes. Nothing I could do on my own, I don't think. At least not yet. But it was interesting to learn nonetheless. In celebration of getting so much accomplished and saving so much money by working on the car on our own, we decided to go watch a movie. Miss March, anyone heard of it? Now I'm generally not one to enjoy comedies too much. Most comedies have stupid humor that just make me roll my eyes and want to get the movie over with. But this movie was actually quite hilarious! Not for the faint heart. For a movie that's about a playboy bunny, you can only imagine what's involved. And then some. But if you can get over that then I think it'd be worth watching, especially now when everyone's taking a break from everything and just needs to have a good laugh and relax. Wooow, run-on sentence!
Now for the fun part. The reason we're working so much on his car is because we're getting it ready for a road trip! We both got permission from our parents to go to Albuquerque this weekend. YAY! It'll be nice to get out and away from UTEP. I spend almost all my time here, and it's starting to get to me. I personally cannot wait. I told him as long as I get to go to the zoo and the aquarium, I'll be happy. I think we're also going to go to the mountain there. I forget what it's called, but they have a lift they take you up to the peak on, and there's a great restaurant there at the top. It's been years since I've last gone, and I know there's probably so much that has changed since I was a kid. I'm so excited!!!! Haha!
So pretty much this week, I'm going to try and get all of my homework done and be prepared for my classes next week within today and tomorrow. This will leave me Wed and Thurs to chill (not fully because I still have to work M-R), but then Friday I don't have to worry about a thing. It'll be nice. No schedules, no homework, no school, no work. Just relaxing and having fun. :D
Is this a sufficient update, Laura? ^_~
