49. The age of innocence / by Edith Wharton
A favorite of mine. Brought back because I'm also reading the 700+ tiny print new bio of Edith Whartin.
50.-52 Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets / J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban / J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter and the goblet of fire [sound recording] / J.K. Rowling.
Continuing the re-listen of the whole collection before the final book comes out.
53. The way men act : a novel / Elinor Lipman.
Lipman can be funny or serious, sometimes in the same sentence. She's someone I really enjoy reading.
54. The harlequin / Laurell K. Hamilton.
For some reason, I keep hanging in there with this series. And this one actually had a slightly higher percentage of plot to gratuitous sex than the last few.
55. Foul play : a Sofie Metropolis novel / Tori Carrington.
This series is VERY similar to the Stephanie Plum series. Not quite as well done, but still fun.
56. All those moments : stories of heroes, villains, replicants, and blade runners / Rutger Hauer and Patrick Quinlan
Rutger Hauer was in my all-time favorite movie. In fact, I think I'll use my Ladyhawke icon for this post. This book feels very conversational, like his co-author recorded Rutger reminiscing about his life and films, and then trimmed them. Fun to read.
57. Lean mean thirteen / Evanovich, Janet
Nothing new here, but always fun.
58. Tracking trash : flotsam, jetsam, and the science of ocean motion / Loree Griffin Burns.
This is a children's book that a friend of mine from church wrote. It's getting great reviews and some awards, too.
