40. Tear soup : a recipe for healing after loss / story by Pat Schwiebert and Chuck DeKlyen ; illustrated by Taylor Bills.

This is a children's book that a co-worker thought might help me when Roger died.  I understand why someone might like it but it wasn't really my taste.

41. Life and death of classical music : featuring the 100 best and 20 worst recordings ever made /    Lebrecht, Norman

I purchase classical music for my library (among other genres) and I'm always looking for interesting lists of great recordings. I enjoyed this one because the author had a lot to say about why he felt each recording was special.  Also, we own only one of the 20 worst. And I didn't buy it. :-}

42. Belinda : a novel / Anne Rice writing as Anne Rampling.

Sometimes I'm lazy. I finished whatever book I had been reading a grabbed something that was close at hand.

43. The Spellman files / Lisa Lutz.

Nice new entry in the Stephanie Plum/Sofie Metropolis genre.  Refreshing in that unlike Stephanie and Sofie, who more or less fell into their jobs and succeed in spite of themselves,  Izzy Spellman is actually good at being a PI.

44. Judaism for dummies / by David Blatner and Ted Falcon.

Because I'm always asking dumb questions.

45. Nineteen minutes : a novel / Jodi Picoult.

No adult novelist writes teens better than Jodi Picoult, and this story of a shocking school shooting in a small town is no exception.

46. Pants on fire / Meg Cabot.

Another cute Meg Cabot story...

47. Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm  / by Kate Douglas Wiggin.

Another in a series of "I liked it as a child, let's see what I think as an adult" experiments.

48. Little Women / Louisa May Alcott

Part "more of the above," but also because I read "The Little Women"  a while back and I wanted to make some comparisons.
