First post in a loooong long time! Hello peeps!

I went to see Public Enemies tonight. It just can't get a whole lot better than Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, two of my long time favorites!  It was really great! There were 2 parts that were my favorites.
The first is when after he gets caught and is being transported to jail, there are people lining the streets cheering and waving at him. Not because they're glad he was caught, but because they love him. I work in a bank, and I gotta tell ya, even now people think the bank is always out to screw them. Banks are SO different now, but people still don't trust them, whatever, that's another post for another time! I always think it's interesting when the "bad guy" is a hero, mostly for being brave, stupid, ballsy enough to do what most regular people can only wish they could do.

The second one was how he seemed invisible. There were 3 different times when he could've easily been caught, out in the open, and no one even recognizes him. It really makes you wonder how many times you've walked past someone who is a wanted criminal, or sat next to them and never even noticed. Crazy!

Unfortunately, it also had one of my biggest movie pet peeves: gunfights with tons of bullets, yet no one gets shot! If you're gonna have that in a movie, then you better make it look super awesome, like The Matrix! But there were times when Dillinger and his gang would be outside the bank they just robbed, standing next to the car and shooting up the street. The cops would be shooting back at them and maybe 1 person would get shot right at the end. It's annoying! Just get in the car and go! Go and escape out the back of where you're staying instead of shooting out the window! It's just one of those things that really bugs me!.

During the movie, I noticed an FDIC sign in a bank and thought, hey we have signs just like that at work! And then after my dad asked me if the FDIC existed then. So I looked it up and sure enough the FDIC was created in 1933, which is the same year that the movie begins. You learn somethin new every day!
