Yeah, there's clearly a theme on the ones I can answer too... :)
9. Memory, from Cats 10. Angel of Music from Phantom 11. ... I know it's Simon and Garfunkel and I can't remember what it's called. I'm going to kick myself when I look this up. 13. You're the Top, from Anything Goes 20. Argh, for some reason I can't remember what it's called. But it's the first track from Wicked... 24.It's Alright - possibly It's Alright With Me? By Cole Porter 25. Send in the Clowns, by... Sondheim? I think? 30. Seasons of Love, from Rent 42. ... again, I can't remember what it's called, but it's from Guys and Dolls. 47. Luck be a Lady, from Guys and Dolls again 52. Down Once More from Phantom 58. Fantine's Death from Les Miserables 62. Javert's Suicide from Les Miserables (these are very cheerful, aren't they?) 64. What Is This Feeling from Wicked 68. Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall, by Simon and Garfunkel 69. I'm Not That Girl, from Wicked 71. For Good, from Wicked
(I think I had one from Les Miserables that was more cheerful, but that started with the title. Except I'm not sure what it might have been, looking back over the list. Les Mis really has very few cheery songs anyway...)
#10 is wrong, but everything else you guessed you were right as far as it went--I'm allowing #20 because you knew what it was and just not what they'd named it, but not #11 or #42 because, well, you were right but not specific enough to let anyone else immediately recognize the song without any lyrics. (#42 was kind of unfair, really--the title has nothing to do with anything.)
1. "Trouble in River City" from The Music Man 2. "Into the Fire" from The Scarlet Pimpernel 21. "Forever in Blue Jeans" (I think that's the name and I don't know who sings it.) 27. "The Riddle" from The Scarlet Pimpernel 42. Is called "Fugue for Tin Horns." 45. "Cecilia," Simon and Garfunkel 51. "Where's the Girl" from The Scarlet Pimpernel 57. "Heard it Through the Grapevine" (don't know who sings it though)
Gleeeeee. *happydance that someone else knows The Scarlet Pimpernel* (Sadly, that's not the most obscure of the musicals I got lots of songs from.)
All correct.
Edit: no, wait, #1 is wrong. There is a song from The Music Man called "Trouble in River City", and #1 is from The Music Man, but #1 is not "Trouble in River City".

I love The Scarlet Pimpernel, and was gleeful when I recognized the lyrics.

And yes, the beginning of #1 does sound a lot like the beginning of the pool song.

34. "Prayer," The Scarlet Pimpernel
66. "Lullaby," The Scarlet Pimpernel
And there's at least one more that sounds like it might be from it, but I can't remember the title...
