I am more than happy to sit around and bitch and moan about UQ. Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed the majority of my time there but it is much more enjoyable to complain about the place. I can think of too many examples of people/courses/departments that they have screwed with.

This week my opinion of them changed (just a bit!) for the better. I have decided to commence the long process of getting some credit towards this degree which means tracking down nearly four years worth of course outlines and killing a few trees by printing them all out to submit for processing. Me being, well me, I didnt' keep a thing from UQ - I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO KEEP A COPY OF EVERYTHING EVEN THOSE THINGS YOU ARE SURE YOU WILL NEVER NEED EVER EVER AGAIN. The lovely people who run admin for the schools of Social Science, History, Social Work and Political Science have been unbelievably helpful and since Monday I have already acquired copies of every last course outline I need. I am left with a warm and fuzzy feeling toward the place for the first time, ever.

Yay for UQ, being organised and having the ability to do the right thing by someone, for a change!

And on an entirely different note, I am sick of my house mate asking if she can straighten my hair. I have thick, fluffy, curly hair and I don't understand her problem with that. She honestly feels some great need to 'fix' me.
