Apologies & the bujold ficathon
I'm so very sorry to all the reviewers of DRSD for not replying yet. I will, but I just haven't had the opportunity to sit down and type a thank you and a reply to everyone. My arms are still sore from rockclimbing, though surprisingly, after a visit from the gym, the soreness has receded tremendously!
So I'm seeing quite a bit of the bujold fic-a-thon on my flist and it's driving me insane---in a good way! I haven't read much of them, but it's making my fingers itch to write Bujold fic. Unfortunately, I'm not sure my nerves are up to portraying a reasonably in-character Miles. I do wonder what kind of story I would be able to write. I've always liked the Ceta and Beta cultures, but Barrayar is the most well-fleshed and the most dynamic, I think. The quaddies sounded really cute too! If I do end up writing one, it'll probably be a vignette (I wonder if I could pull of a romantic vignette for Miles and Ekaterin?)---and probably a Cazaril one! ^_~
