So how is everybody? I went around part of my Flist and everyone seems to be doing okay, with no major life crisis so this is a good thing. I'm doing okay myself, nothing special going on, except maybe that I donated blood today for the first time in about ten years. The reason for this is that my blood didn't have the minimum level of iron required to be able to donate. It seems that taking those multivitamins everyday for almost a year has paid off again. I was very happy to learn that my iron level had substantially increased because of it.
Now on to less serious stuff. I wanted to squee and rant a little about a few TV things so here goes.
First, I just want to mention that the latest episode of Supernatural just rocked my world. The show is back to what it was during Season 1 and 2 and that is just fantastic. I have to say that Season 3 was nothing to write home about, with some hits but mostly misses. And the fact that it wasn't a complete season due to the writers' strike didn't help. Which brings me to this: the DVD box set says "The Complete Third Season". Complete, my ass! We only got, what, 16 or 17 episodes and they call this a "complete" season?! And where I live they're selling the box set for $50.00! This is ridiculous. It shouldn't go for more than $40.00. I'll shop around for it as I'm in no hurry to get it.
But back to Season 4... Wow... If the first 3 episodes are any indication of what the season is going to be like, I'm going to die of squee every Thursday night. For real. It is just amazing. And I really like that Castiel guy. He looks to me like a dark angel more than anything though but he's definitely hot. And I don't want Sam to go all dark on us. Please, Kripke, do not do this to his fans!
Elsewhere in TV land, I recently added two new shows to my already very full schedule: Chuck and The Big Bang Theory. Nerds and geeks of the world unite!!! LOL! When I first heard about the premise for Chuck I thought there was no way this show could be good because it sounded downright silly and ridiculous. But it really works! It is totally cheesy and full of clichés but so damn funny! As for The Big Bang Theory, the geeks on that show are so darn adorable and the show is so well written that it's very hard to resist. One of the two main nerd characters reminds me of Niles on Frasier: same OCD and slightly neurotic personality but with even more arrogance. And last but not least, Fringe is da bomb! This show is getting better and better every week. I haven't been this excited about a new scifi show in a very long time.
On a totally different note now, I posted my first stock images at
DeviantArt last week and one of them actually was featured in their monthly Stock Images newsletter. I couldn't believe it... Considering the insane amount of submissions that this site gets everyday plus the fact that some of the photographers there are really talented, this is a real honour. And to think that I was just doing this for fun because I had a green pepper in my fridge that looked like it was pregnant so I took some pictures of it. :)
