I love my iPad (Air 2 - gold - 128gb). I think it may arguably be one of the best purchases I’ve ever made - worth every penny. It keeps me connected...which is both a good and a bad thing. What I like best about it though is the world of apps it has opened up for me. Some of my favs...both new and old...are listed below. It is worth noting, all these apps are free!
Lists - I use two list apps - AnyList and Wunderlist. And both are so crucial that I’ve added them to my main bar for easy access. AnyList is the better and more useful of the two IMO. You can use it to create a list of anything you could ever want or need. The app has some preset categories and items for groceries which makes grocery shopping a breeze. I keep lists of things I want to buy, learn, goals, books, places I want to visit, etc. As well I can easily catalogue things I already have e.g. Essie nail polishes, for quick reference. I think this has become my fav and most used app. Wunderlist is more like a glorified to-do list which helps me track of my daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals. I could probably use AnyList as well but Wunderlist seems to be more robust for creating tasks and assigning due dates.
Meditation - I have three meditation apps. For guided meditation I prefer the Insight Timer. For basic timed meditation I prefer Calm. For just listening to nature sounds I go for Rain Rain.
Yoga - I started using Daily Yoga. It’s good for the basics and perfect for really simple stretching. I think on the whole it is a bit boring as there is nothing lively about the instruction but I will likely continue using the 10-15 minute stretch routines on a regular basis.
Health - I started using TnS lite. It has the ability to track just about anything you want to input - sleep, pain, headaches, food, weight, mood, weather, coffee, water, exercise, flossing….set it up and just add in the data and you're good to go.
Social Media - yes of course Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram but my fav is Pinterest (if you can count that as social media). Pinterest is so full of great cost-saving DIY ideas and advice. I can’t live without it.
If you think there are any other good free apps out there, let me know. And btw, the current LiveJournal app sucks. It doesn't offer the features I would like it to have so I inevitably I always wind up accessing LJ the old fashion way. Meh.
