Today is July the 6th and...
Not much going on here...I have a bunch of finance stuff to do at work but have zero motivation to do it. As far as I'm concerned it can sit for a little while longer. The office move is a go and it looks like I will be working from home from November until the ides of March. At least I don't have to travel at all during winter this year. YAY. About 40% through my reread of A Feast For Crows...I expect to be done in time for next week, just prior to the release of A Dance with Dragons. I wonder how long it will be till The Winds of Winter is released? I shudder to think of it. My guess is 2013 at the earliest. In the meantime, I think I'll go back to some historical fiction (in other words, The Borgias) after I'm finished with ADwD. Or maybe the Marion Zimmer Bradley novels...I've always wanted to read her series from start to finish. Or maybe the Stephen Lawhead novels...IDK yet - I'll see how my mood is after ADwD. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Camelot was cancelled. It hadn't even aired here in Canada. I wonder if it ever will now? Either way, the series will be available on dvd (in America effective Sep 13) so I expect I will see it at some point. The Borgias has started airing again, the edited version, on CTV on Tuesdays at 10 PM. Yay...finally get to see Chez in HD. Boo to Bravo for not offering it in HD originally. Oh well, I'll have the blu ray version soon enough :) I'm trying to decide whether I should purchase the Merlin dvds or hold out until blu rays are available. Problem is I'm not even sure if they ever will have blu rays of this show. I also should get the BBC Robin Hood series as well. Geez, I should make a shopping list.
Trying to plan a few weekend getaways from Toronto...Ottawa would be real nice. Stratford as well. I'd love to take a REAL vacation that takes me out of the country for at least two weeks but clearly, given my economical situation, it is not going to let that happen anytime soon. It will all work out in the end...I know it will. It's all happening....
