Sadly, this is the last day of the year during which I can take public transit and not be besieged by annoying students. I am NOT looking forward to Tuesday. *cringes*
This morning I completed my first ever player transfer for a player coming in to Ontario from Spain. Clearly the Spanish aren't exactly a hotbed for hockey players. No wonder why I love them so much!!!
Over at the US Open. Oh dear...Rafa. Is he or isn't he?? It's easy to argue that he isn't. He's not stupid...he wouldn't be playing and risking further injury. He's just testing the water, right? Making sure he can play, determining if the knees/legs can withhold the effort, testing this all out on the schmucks he faces in the first couple of rounds...right? Otherwise, for God's sake RAFA, if you are injured, please get off that court now....No matter how great the draw is, it's not worth risking a career for. As for Mr. Federer, I shall proceed to call him Johnny Cash for the remainder of the tourney. The man-in-black look definitely agrees with him. Can't say I like the man-purse though!!! *snicker* I can't believe the rest of the players don't tease him about that attire. I swear sometimes I think Rogelio is more concerned about his appearance than Feli. And speaking of the pretty-boy, a victory today will see F-Lo possibly facing Gasquet in his next match up. Dare I dream??? Lastly, enjoy your big day, Andy. What are you now??? All of 25??? Enjoy it while you can. It goes by way too quickly.
As of 4:30 I am officially off for the long weekend. Perhaps a trip to the ex, some cleaning, some reading, US Open, and, lest we forget, Sylar is on his way.
EDIT: Just checked the score at the US Open and Gasquet must be injured. His opponent got a walkover. So much for the Feli/Richard matchup. I knew it was too good to be true.
