Well, mine is dying a fast death. I had a 2 inch chunk pull up today. I'm so sick of the crappy linoleum in our kitchen. I told Joe tonight that by the end of the year it's gotta go. I don't care what goes in. I should have been more careful saying that because he suggested...come on....guess....
CARPET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I kid you not. He really thought it was a good idea to just pull up what's there and buy a big area rug. With two cats, two kids, and a filthy dirty dog. Yeah. No. My head is still spinning. I just looked at him like he had three heads or something. I mean, really?? Carpet??? So I did tell him I don't think so. I'd rather have cheapo vinyl tiles in there than carpet. I mean, at least I can CLEAN that, right?!
So, now I'm reading on Constant Chatter about kitchen floors. We have wood underneath but are guessing it isn't in the best of shape. So, assuming we rip it out, put down a new subfloor and pick something to go on top. What do we put on top?? This isn't going to be our forever floor. I want to redo our cabinets, add some more in and all that fun stuff someday, so I don't want to put down something super expensive that will get torn out at that point.
Suggestions?
What do you have? Do you love it or hate it?
