I have a GREAT update to the prayer request post I made Sunday about my girlfriend's daughter and Edward's bestest friend. She was the one that thought her daughter might have a birth defect or abnormality after going to the hospital for fevers. Well, the GREAT news is that the specialist at Children's Hospital saw Chloe and said it was just labial adhesions, which is what I had though it might be after talking to everyone here and on MDC and other great online sources. Some estrogen cream and growing up will fix the problem without surgery our other isses. :) Here's teh update straight from her, well, fingers! :) Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you so much for your prayers. C is responding well to the antibiotics and has interest in playing, eating, and her toddler stubbornnes is back too. We had an appointment this morning with a Pediatric Urologist at Childrens Hospital. The report was good. Washington Hosptial did a good job of scaring us and telling us some of the worst possible scenarios we could be facing. But the specialist at Childrens said she has a condition known as labial adhesions which can occur in 2 of every 100 girls. It is treatable through medication most of the time and surgery on occassion. She will be just fine just as we believed. They want her to continue on her antibiotic for a month and want her to have a sonagram and another test to make sure her kidneys and bladder are okay. The tests and follow-up appointment are on Jan. 17th. OUR GOD IS A GOOD GOD! HE IS FAITHFUL TO ANSWER!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Love,
C, N, and C
