Well, we did it.
Last week was a busy one. I stayed home and cleaning and moved and threw away and cleaned some more. We got KID #2 moved into his new room by 7 PM and all settled in…he even got his stuff hung on the walls with a little help from his pa.
Moving KID #3 took a little more work.
Tuesday night I washed the walls and put joint compound in all the nail holes and cracks.
Wednesday I put the first coat of green paint on two of the walls and the ceiling.
Thursday I put on the second coat of green.
Friday I left work early and painted the other two walls magenta. The paint was drying fast so after supper and mowing the lawn I put on the final coat of paint. I wanted to get it done because we were going to install the carpet on Saturday.
Saturday morning we went to the furniture to pick out the carpet. We picked a cute ‘Frazee’. It’s an ivory with flecks of color throughout. She only has a 10’ x 12’ room but that carpet ended up costing $710.00. Well sorta. We decided to buy a recliner for the living room too. Impulse buying is bad.
So, anyway. We brought the chair and carpet home. Went to our nephews birthday party, came home installed the carpet and moved her furniture into her new room. A busy seven days!
