Trying to think positive

Nov 20, 2006 19:02

Rather than dwelling on the unpleasant aspects of my trip to Texas (of which there were many) I'm trying to concentrate on the good things. Mostly getting to spend time with my sister's son who I don't know as well as my brother's oldest two. He's two and talks more than any child his age you've ever met. He's also spoiled beyond belief but I blame this on my sister, not him.

Reasons the kid's awesome:
1. Red hair not from a box (but then, mine wasn't at his age either)
2. Counts to seven in Spanish but only when impersonating the Count from Sesame Street.
3. Shares his candy with his Aunt Dulce (unaware of the irony-Dulce=candy in Spanish)
4. Likes his French fries with mustard. Won't eat them without.
5. Eats jalapenos without flinching.
6. Enjoys doing the "No Pants Dance" (I will no doubt be beaten by my brother in law for teaching it to him)
7. Wants to be in my act. Told his mom he needs a rope like Auntie Gypsy (he came up with the nickname, though I have to say I like it)
8. Told me, "That's okay, I'm a clutz too"
