The weather has been dreadful today. I was supposed to go to the postoffice and post a scrapbook/journal to the next person on the list but it was just too wet. I made a big decision the other day. I will only be making - as in sewing - stuff that I want to make in future. I won't be desperately hoping against all the odds that I can make money. I will be sorting through the fabrics and probably dumping all the scraps and small bits - unless they fit with the quilt for my new grandchild that is due in January.
I now feel more enthusiastic about getting all my scrapbooking stuff into the fornow room.
As soon as I had decided not to worry about sewing anymore I had this idea. It was something that children seem to say these days when they are waiting for a special day to arrive. They say "How many sleeps?" and I thought How many sleeps until Santa arrives? and this is the result

I didn't manage many pictures for the Scrap your Day thingy on 25th August but I did manage to get the cat again. He has been trying to convince me that he loves me for the past few days because DD purchased some food pouches and he loves them so he makes up to me in the hope that he will be fed. This usually means he has to jump up on thewindow sill in the kitchen so that he is closer to the box. Unfortunately the window sill os not too wide and Blue is a bit ungainly so he fell off twice today and both times he landed in his water dish. He was less than amused when I laughed out loud but he couldn't be haughty with me because I still hadn't given him any of the food.
