moving!
um, so it looks at though i'll be moving next week. i decided i was fed up with the noise next door (along with several other complaints) and contacted a guy about an apartment. went to see it yesterday with my friend MT. filled out an application and paid the $20 fee. he called today to offer it to me. i accepted. went to bank to get cashiers check. came home. gave notice. will go tomorrow to sign lease. then i'll start packing. i could move in as early as the first. doing my best to help current landlord find someone to fill the spot. should be an interesting week.
so, if no one has anything else better to do and wants to help pack or move, let me know. (ah, look at all those willing volunteers!)
i'm afraid this also means i won't be going to reno next week. :(
oh, the messes i get myself into! the new place: same neighborhood but closer to the action. it's a duplex, and i'll be in back. it's only $75 more, but i won't have laundry or cable included. but i will have light and cell phone reception. ah, the trades we must make. it's super cute with the old pink tiles and louvered windows in the kitchen. i have a front (living) and back (kitchen) door access. lots of closet space.

Sunny country-style kitchen, hardwood floors in living room, good-sized bathroom with extra storage, smaller (approx.10'x 12') loft-style bedroom up 6 stairs.
Off-street parking behind home ca be accessed thru the back kitchen door.
The basement has a seperate entrance, and has shared access/storage with long term tenants in front.
