I’ve been hooking up with a friend and I think she wants to be more than friends. How can I tell her no without losing what we have?
Deb: You can’t. It’s up or out.
Dino: Just say it, just put it out there.
Ben: I’m confused; do you just want to be friends with benefits with her, or just friends and no more benefits?
Jackie: There is no way to do what you are trying to do. So, stop trying and just decide whether you want to be her boyfriend, or if you don’t want to be friends with her at all, because those are your choices.
Jonathan: Maybe if you explained where you’re coming from, and give her lots of compliments….?
* in other news, i saw closer last night with a friend. all i can say is that i thought i was watching my own life. fucked up, that movie was. in a smart, well-done sort of way, of course. I found Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter" from the first/last scenes quite overwhelming. during the movie, i missed a call for the cute tall boy i had a date with on monday. we're planning to see ocean's 12 this weekend!
