few weeks it's been. Since my last post dorei and i have been sewing up a storm to make clothing for the Ren Fair which we attended on opening day. What a blast it was! We'll be going back the weekend of March 1st. I really neeeeeeed to pick up some of the garlic spice blends from one of the vendors there. We did Master's new vest and pirate coat, garb for me and dorei did some baby items for the new grandbaby.
Yes, the House of Peter has a new grandson. He was born on the 11th, weighed in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 and a quarter inches long. All the fingers and toes are there and he's just beautiful. However, I did call my own daughter and told her....NO, you aren't doing this for a long time to come. I'm so not ready for that yet.
We'd been so caught up in the sewing we hadn't really been out except for the random coffee. Speaking of, Master's work schedule has changed so he no longer has to work any closing shifts or weekends. All 3 of us are happy about that. Now we can actually plan ahead and do things. Master and I did get out to Apex this past weekend on Saturday night. We both needed it and sis needed some time to herself for a change. But you know what they say about planning....she ended up with their son and his finace over until 2 in the morning.
It looks like a trip to Disneyland is coming up to celebrate Master and sis's anniversary. I haven't been there since my own children were very young and I'm looking forward to it...to let the kid in me come out and play. :)
My sewing muse is getting quite active again. So many projects swimming around in my head and so little time. A quilt for my bed using some iris fabric strips I'd purchased over a year ago...work things....more pirate shirts for Master. Throw pillows for the house here. Also have some pot holders I want to put together for my roommate. Oh, and shorts for hanging around the house. The rule is, no more fabric purchases until some of my stash is made up. (This with SAS right down the street!) Master is a sadist I swear it.
With regards to going to the dungeon, I have a question for you all. Does anyone else have to take time to shift protocol styles when going from the home atmosphere to the dungeon atmosphere? Until this past weekend I'd never thought about it. I have no problem shifting from work to home/service but that home to dungeon one took awhile.
As always, I'm looking forward to your feedback :)
