One Prayer

Well...where to start. When I logged into my journal, it said my last post was 118 weeks ago! WOW!

I am going to use this journal in a different way. I thought about going and deleting all of my past entries, but I think I need to keep them. I went back and read some of my old post and was shocked! It seems like stuff that I thought were problems really weren't. My how I have grown and matured since 118 weeks ago. :) I am going to use this journal more or less as a spirtual place for me. I recently became a member of Church of the Highlands in Birmingham. I love that church so much and I love my new friends I have made there. Yesterday, we launched a new series called One Prayer with over 1,300 churches across the globe! This is amazing because it has never been done before!

I joined a small group for the first time in my 1.5 years at Highlands. I was scared at first. It is a 20's somethings/college group. I really didn't know what to expect, what I found shocked me. I was welcomed in the group with wide, open, loving arms. People were coming up and greeting me and telling me they have seen me before and thought they knew me...but they didn't. Our small group is led by Pastor Layne and Pastor Mark. Two wonderful people who I think will help me grow more spiritually than ever before. Last night Mark encouraged us to begin a journal of our lives and how God is working in them, so that will become the new platform for my journal. Hopefully it can serve as a testimony to some, or as encouragement to others.

I will post later this week on part 1 of One Prayer: Lord Teach us How to Pray and what our small group discussed!

Excited what God is doing,

CG
