I try to read the news, I really do.
But I honestly can't take it anymore.
I wish I could be ignorant, I wish that I wouldn't hear about the wars, the incompetence, the economic struggles around the world.
It just makes me realize the word we live in doesn't hold a lot of hope for the future.
Most countries are just hoping that we'll make it to the next decade without nuclear war.
I read today that a Syrian-born Canadian is being formally apologized to by the Canadian government for their role in wrongly imprisoning and torturing him for a year. Apparently the US got the impression he was a terrorist and sent him over to Syria where he was interrogated and tortured.
Question: WHY THE FUCK ARE WE TORTURING PEOPLE? Isn't there this little thing called the Geneva Conventions? Oh, but it's in Syria so it's okay.
Can I just meet with Bush, please? Can I just show him how a liberal 18 year old feels about how he is helping to shape my future. Because I really don't appreciate where it's going. THANKS
