jentfic_remix Yuto sat on the bed in his dark room, still as a stone. On his study table, his cell phone kept vibrating. Still, Yuto ignored it, staring into space. After a moment, the phone stopped vibrating. 'Am I really not enough, Ryosuke?'
-----------------------
It all started a few months ago. Yuto and Yamada had planned to meet up somewhere during break. However...
Yuto sat restlessly at a corner in the dressing room. "Hey, have any of you seen Ryo-chan?" he asked practically everyone who came near.
This time, it was Keito. He shrugged. "I don't think I have."
Then, Ryutaro cut in. "Weren't both of you supposed to meet somewhere?" he smirked.
"For a younger kid, you sure knows how to bite."
"Age is just a number," Ryutaro stuck out his tongue, making Keito chuckled at both teens' antics.
Just then, the door to the dressing room opened and closed. It was Yamada. He looked different though. A little bit flustered, fidgety, not meeting anyone's eyes.
"Ryo-chan," Yuto called out, as he went to his lover.
Yamada stopped in his tracks before looking up at his taller teen. "Uh, Y-Y-Yuto."
"Where have you been?" Yuto looked fussed. "I was very worried about you when you didn't show up."
Yamada gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I must have taken a wrong turn." Before Yuto could reply, he continued, "I have to go now. I need to see Yabu about the dance steps."
Before anything could escape Yuto's mouth, Yamada left. Keito and Ryutaro went to Yuto's side. The youngest teen put a hand on Yuto's shoulder. "Oooh~ trouble in love land?"
"Shut up, Ryutaro."
------------------------------
After practice was over, Yuto scanned the room for Yamada, but there was no sign of him. His bag was gone as well. 'Wha-' They were supposed to leave together, just like every other day.
Keito noticed it too. "Did both of you have a fight, or something?"
Yuto shook his head. "Not that I know off," he sighed. "He probably just had a bad day." Although he said that, he wasn't convinced himself.
------------------------------
While walking down the familiar road he took everyday, Yamada mentally beat himself. 'What the hell were you thinking, Ryosuke?' he thought. 'You shouldn't, it was wrong. Why did you stay?'
When he arrived home, Yamada kept his shoes in the shoe cabinet, called out, "Tadaima," and immediately ran upstairs and locked himself in his room. He slumped on his bed, covering his head with his pillow. He could still remember that particular event. It was still clear in his mind.
It had been dark, waiting inside the closet. But yet, Yamada had stayed there. It was the only place he get to spend some private time with Yuto during work hours. He'd waited for what felt like forever, for Yuto. He had been ready to give up, thinking Yuto had probably forgotten, even though he had been the one who set this up, when the closet door had opened and shut. Suddenly, Yamada's lips had been attacked. His eyes had opened wide. He'd known it wasn't Yuto, this person's 'physiques' had been different. Also, the way the person had kissed him had been totally different from Yuto. This person's kiss had been powerful, exhilarating. After realizing what he was doing, Yamada had pushed the person away and ran out.
Yamada punched his mattress. "What's wrong with me?" It didn't take him long to figure out who he was snogging. It was really simple really. He had gone to the wrong closet. A closet that another couple had planned to use, a closet to be used by Takaki and Inoo. Yamada sat crossed-legged on his bed, shakng his head. 'No, I'll have to forget about all this,' he thought. 'Forget about everything that happened today.'
-------------------------------------
The next morning, when Yuto arrived in class, Yamada was nowhere to be seen. Yuto sighed. 'I guess he's late.' Suddenly, just after Yuto put down his bag, someone hugged him from behind, sliding their arms around his waist. Yuto smiled when he realized who it was.
Yamada pressed his cheek at Yuto's warm back. "Gomen for yesterday," came his muffled voice.
Yuto chuckled. "It's fine."
They stayed like that for awhile, until Yuto decided to break the serious atmosphere. "Ne, Ryo-chan, let's watch a movie later, ne? I heard that the Tooth Fairy is playing."
Yamada laughed. "Yeah, sure." He reassured himself, 'Yuto is the one I love...'
Yamada giggled as Yuto gave him a peck on the lips, before the class was filled with other students.
---------------------------------
Ryutaro sighed, and Keito chuckled, "They are at it again."
"Maaa~ there's nothing you can do about it, y'know?"
As he spoke, Ryutaro slowly turned his gaze towards Yamada and Yuto. "I can tell Yabumama about what they're doing."
A big sweat drop appeared at the back of Keito's head. "You wouldn't!"
On the other side of the room, Yamada laughed at something Yuto was saying. Suddenly, Yamada's eyes caught sight of something- someone.
"Good evening," Takaki called as he and Inoo entered the room, their hands linked together. Yamada's eyes followed them, particularly Takaki, as the couple sat down nearby.
Yamada noticed how Takaki was sweating. Of course he would be, it was damn hot outside. Yamada noticed how the sweat trailed down his forehead, to his cheeks, to his lips. Takaki's lips, the lips that has kissed him wildly. Yamada was snapped out of his thought by a cool hand on his forehead.
"You don't have a fever," Yuto murmured as he removed his hand.
"Huh?" Yamada looked at Yuto, confused.
"You're all flustered," Yuto remarked, concern showing on his face.
Yamada smiled at his boyfriend. "Oh, it's nothing to be worried about." Before Yuto could ask anything else, Yamada was saved by Yabu calling them for practice.
--------------------------------------
It was Saturday evening, and Yamada had decided to straighten things out with Takaki. As he reached Takaki's porch, he began to feel uncertain, but he threw away that feeling. He pressed the doorbell and waited for awhile before Takaki opened the door.
"Ah, Yama-chan," Takaki hesitantly said when he saw the younger teen at his doorway. He ran a hand through his hair. "This is certainly a surprise. What can I do for you?"
"We need to talk," Yamada stated. From his tone, Takaki could tell that he was dead serious, so he invited Yamada into his house.
As he led Yamada into the living room, Takaki mumbled, "Sorry about the mess." He picked up some socks from the couch and threw them in a nearby closet. "My family are out of town, visiting a relative so I'm home alone."
"Ah, I see," Yamada nodded. Somehow, Takaki's revelation made his heart beat fast. He blushed a little when he turned to face Takaki. "Takaki-kun, I have something important to tell you."
"Why don't you have a seat while I get something to drink? Then, we can talk comfortably."
Yamada caught Takaki's hand, causing the other boy to turn and face him. "No, Takaki-kun," Yamada said firmly. "I need to say this now." He looked directly at Takaki. "Three days ago, Yuto and I were supposed to meet up in the closet near KAT-TUN's dressing room. However, I messed up and went into the closet near NewS's dressing room." Yamada saw Takaki's eyes widening as his revelation sunk in.
Yamada had expected Takaki to say something in return. He was surprised when Takaki crushed their lips together. He kissed him, kissed him like he needed him for breathing. "Since that day, I was searching, I didn't know who..."
"Takaki-kun, we need to stop," Yamada gasped. "Inoo-kun...Yuto..."
However, Takaki just ignored what Yamada said and continued kissing him hard. Yamada knew he should push Takaki away, but his brain was malfunctioning. Before he knew it, he was responding to Takaki's kiss. The older boy's hand started to roam inside Yamada's shirt, and a muffled moan escaped his mouth when Takaki pinched his nipple. "Let's continue this in my bedroom," he whispered in Yamada's ear. Yamada just nodded faintly, breathless.
----------------------------------------
The next morning, Yamada woke up in a different environment. 'Oh god, I didn't,' he prayed as he shot up straight. He cast his eyes around the room. As he feared, it was Takaki's bedroom, Takaki was sleeping beside him, and they were both naked. Yamada shook his head vigorously, hoping it was just a dream. But it wasn't. Quickly, he stood up and gathered his clothes. He put them on and quietly ran out of Takaki's house.
Running was proving to be a bad choice as he was aching all over. As soon as he reached his house, he went into the bathroom and took a shower. He let the cold water wash away his tears, and the evidence of the sin he had committed, the evidence of his betrayal of his lover, of a friend.
That day, for the whole day, Yamada locked himself in his room, ignoring all calls and cutting himself from the world.
----------------------------------------
On Monday, Yamada went to work. He was the first to arrive- or so he thought. Eventually, Yamada noticed another bag in the dressing room. He recognized it as Takaki's. Before he could run, Takaki had cornered him, taking him by surprise. Takaki hadn't been there when he'd arrived.
"Yamada, we need to talk," Takaki said, his hands around Yamada's waist, his head rested on Yamada's shoulder.
"There's nothing to talk about," Yamada spat out as he released himself from the older boy's grasp. Takaki then twisted Yamada's arm behind his back, causing the latter to scrunch his face in pain. "Let go, it hurts!"
Takaki whispered in Yamada's ear. "I know you had fun," he purred. "Your body responded to me, so believe me when I say you will return to me." The last four words made Yamada shiver. Takaki let go of his hold on Yamada a few moments later, when the other members arrived.
"Kei-chan," Takaki said, smiling as he waltzed his way towards his lover as if nothing happened. Inoo returned his smile when Takaki pecked his cheek.
"Ohayou~" Yamada almost jumped out of his skin when Yuto suddenly snaked an arm around his shoulder.
"Whoa~ You're jumpy today," Yuto grinned.
Yamada gave him an apologetic smile. "I'm just having a bad day."
"Let me kiss you and make it better then," Yuto said, and kissed Yamada on the lips.
After they pulled apart, Yamada put his arms around Yuto's neck and buried his face in Yuto's jacket. "I love you."
Yuto chuckled, caressing Yamada's hair. "I love you too," he said.
Although Yamada had said that, somehow, there was something missing.
-------------------------------
It had been three days. Yamada had successfully avoided meeting Takaki's eyes, or talking to him directly. He clung to Yuto a lot now, a lot more than he used too. Yuto wasn't annoyed though, in fact, he found it cute. But still, Yamada could still feel something missing. He was safe with Yuto, but Yuto didn't make him feel what Takaki did. With the older teen, it was just exciting, as if he was on fire. Yamada found it hard to concentrate with Takaki in the same room. Because of that, he often made mistakes.
Yabu sighed as Yamada made the nth mistake for the day. "I didn't know what happened to you these last few days, Yama-chan. It's as if your head's not really with us."
Yamada looked at Yabu apologetically. "Sorry."
Yabu sighed again, "It's okay."
"I could help Yama-chan with the dance steps, Yabu," Takaki said out of the blue. Yamada was surprised but quickly covered it up.
Yabu nodded in agreement. Then, he looked around the room. "Alright, everyone's dismissed for today." Yabu put a hand on Yamada's shoulder, and smiled encouragingly, "Work hard, ne?" Yamada nodded in reply.
"Do you want me to stay?" Yuto asked while everyone else was packing their stuff.
Yamada shook his head. "No, it's alright," he said. "I know you haven't study for the exam yet."
Yuto laughed. "I guess you're right." He kissed Yamada. "I'll call you later, okay?" Yamada nodded.
After everone left, Takaki locked the door. Yamada stared at the older boy with a raised eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
"Making sure no one bothers us," answered Takaki. Then, he pinned the younger teen to the wall.
"Stop it, Takaki-kun," Yamada whimpered.
"Stop lying to yourself, Yama-chan," Takaki purred as he licked Yamada's collarbone. The younger boy moaned when Takaki's tongue met his flesh.
"N-No, stop," he stammered as Takaki kissed him on the lips, slipping under Yamada's shirt.
"I saw you, you know? Your eyes were following me around, looking at me hungrily when you thought I wasn't looking," Takaki whispered. He pinched Yamada's nipple, making the younger teen moan again. Takaki took that chance for his tongue to enter Yamada's mouth. Takaki's tongue exploring made another moan escape Yamada's throat. It didn't take long for him to start responding to Takaki. In just a matter of minutes, Yamada's clothes was scattered on the floor, his back against the wall and his legs around Takaki's waist.
------------------------------------------
Since that night, Yamada's secret relationship with Takaki started. It lasted for months. Yamada always felt guilty and wanted to leave. But he couldn't. Takaki was addictive, he was like a drug. There were also times when Yamada wanted to tell Yuto and Inoo the truth, but he was scared. Yuto was always his safety blanket, always made him feel loved. Yamada was afraid of losing him. He was also afraid he would be hated by Inoo and Yuto, and probably the rest of the members. Their relationship lasted for three months until one fateful day.
That afternoon, every JUMP members had individual activities, all except for two; Takaki and Yamada. Yamada was sitting on the couch, doing his homework, when suddenly Takaki pushed him down and climbed on top of him.
"Takaki, get off me!" Yamada yelled.
The older teen pinned Yamada's hand above his head. "I don't think so," Takaki said as he kissed Yamada hungrily.
"What are you doing? Someone might walk in on us," Yamada pointed out, as Takaki began taking off his pants. "According to their schedule, they won't be back till later."
Before Yamada could retort, Takaki inserted a finger into him, causing him to gasp in pain, which soon turned to pleasure. Yamada tilted his head back as Takaki began pumping his finger inside him, while his other hand stroke Yamada's length. He moaned Takaki's name, begging for more.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"
Takaki and Yamada froze and were surprised to see a furious Keito glaring at them, hands on his hips. Yamada's face turned scarlet as he sat properly. "K-K-Keito," he stuttered.
Keito was still glaring at them. "Yamada, you better get dress now, and I expect an explanation from both of you."
Yamada hurried to do as he was told. Something he'd feared had happened, and the venom in Keito's voice hurt. Takaki was silent, and he also had a guilty look on his face. When Yamada was dressed, Keito took a seat at the opposite side of them and crossed his hands at his chest. "Now, explain."
"I..." Yamada began. Then, he explained everything to Keito, starting from when he went into the wrong closet. When Yamada ended his tale, Keito's expression hadn't change.
"Both of you should have stopped rather than go behind Yuto's and Inoo's backs."
"Believe me, we tried," Takaki muttered out of the blue.
Keito turned his eyes towards Takaki. "Tried?" he repeated Takaki's word. Keito threw his hands in the air. "Yuto and Inoo are your friends. Takaki, Inoo is your lover," he turned his glare towards Yamada, "and Yuto is yours, Yama-chan! I can't believe both of you would be so cruel as to cheat on them!"
"Please Keito, we promise we'll stop," Yamada said, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Please don't tell them."
Keito shook his head firmly. "No," he said. "I won't let both of you continue hurting Yuto and Inoo. They have to know."
Takaki punched the coffee table. "Stay out of our business, won't you?!"
"In a group, one member's problem is all the members' problem," Keito said through gritted teeth.
Just on time, the other seven JUMP members entered the dressing room. Hikaru, who was the first to enter, looked at the furious expression on Keito and Takaki's faces and the tear-stained face of Yamada and said, "Whoa~ Where did this tension come from?"
"Hika, what's wrong?" Yabu asked, before noticing what Hikaru had. "Alright, I need an explanation now before I turn into Yabumama."
The other JUMP members had made a semi circle in front of the doorway. Keito grabbed Takaki's and Yamada's hand and dragged them in front of he other members. "Start talking!" Keito ordered, but Takaki and Yamada kept their mouth shut.
"What the hell are you doing, Keito?" Yuto asked as he went to Yamada's side. The others just stared at Keito, not understanding the situation at all.
"Fine," the English boy said at last. "If you won't talk, then I will."
"No!" Yamada gasped.
"Ryo-chan, what's going on?" Yuto asked, worried.
"Today, I caught Yamada and Takaki making out with one another," Keito said, stony gaze turned to Takaki and Yamada.
"W-What?" Yuto cried, looking at Yamada, who avoided his eyes
Inoo stepped forward to face Takaki. "Yuya, is this true?" Takaki just kept his mouth shut. Inoo grabbed a fistful of Takaki's shirt. "ANSWER ME, YUYA!"
"Apparently, this has been going on for three months."
"I-Is that true?" Inoo let go of his hold on Takaki, his hands fell limp by his side.
"Kei..."
"Stop!" Inoo shrieked, looking at Takaki with tears rolling down his cheeks. "Don't you dare call me by that name! You've lost the right," he finished in a whisper. He turned to Yamada. "Yama-chan, I- I trusted you. I thought of you as a younger brother. I can't believe-..." Inoo couldn't finish his sentence. Instead, he ran out of the dressing room. Daiki could only glare at both Takaki and Yamada before he ran after Inoo.
Yamada felt a lump forming in his throat. "I'm sorry," he said, voice catching in his throat.
Yuto snorted, glaring at Yamada with red eyes. "Isn't it too late for that now?"
Yamada looked back at him. "Yuto, I-..."
"Three months, Ryo-chan, THREE DAMN MONTHS!"
"I'm sorry," Yamada repeated, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Save it, Yamada," Yuto growled, calling Yamada by his family name. He made his way out of the room.
"Yuto, wait!" Yamada was about to ran after Yuto when Hikaru stopped him.
"Don't you think you've hurt him enough, Yamada?" the older teen said. Then, he glared at Takaki. "And you...I can't believe you. How could you?!"
"It happened, okay?!" Takaki yelled. "There's nothing we can do about it now! Yamada and I made a mistake, some people get h-..."
Takaki couldn't finish his sentence before Hikaru's fist met his cheek. "You son of a bitch!" he shouted at Takaki.
"Hikaru, stop it!" Yabu cut in, finally taking control. "I mean it!" Yabu added when Hikaru ignored him. Hikaru let go of Takaki and left the dressing room without a word.
"I can't believe both of you have the heart to hurt Yuto and Inoo-chan like that," Chinen remarked simply, and left the room with Ryutaro, who was looking at them coldly.
"I hope you've learned your lesson," Keito spat before following the others.
Now, it was only Yamada, Takaki and Yabu in the dressing room. Yamada was staring at his feet so as not to meet Yabu's eyes. He flinched when Yabu started talking. "I expected more from both of you," he said. "I never thought you could be this low." And with that, Yabu too left the room.
This was how Yuto found himself three days later, alone in his bedroom.
Yuto stood up, and walked towards the trash can next to his study table. He tore the piece of paper containing Yamada's explanation into small pieces and threw it in the trash can. 'Your explanation and apologies meant nothing to me now, Yamada Ryosuke.'
