After the orientation ended, Ryutaro decided to take a walk at the garden with the pond, near his dorm building. He sighed as he said to himself, "Even during orientation, I wasn't able to meet Yuto." He kicked the pebble into the pond.

"So, you still haven't given up on Nakajima-kun?"

The voice startled Ryutaro. He immediately turned around. He was met with an unfamiliar face. "Do I know you?" he asked.

"No, but I know you," the person smiled. He closed the book in his hand, and said, "My name is Okamoto Keito, piano division."

"Morimoto Ryutaro," replied Ryutaro, "clarinet division."

"Hmmm...the same as Arioka-kun," Keito mumbled.

"Excuse me?" Ryutaro asked.

"Iie, it's nothing."

Ryutaro looked at Keito with a raised eyebrow. "How did you know about me and Yuto?"

"A bird told me."

Ryutaro's brows furrowed. "I'm not really into humor recently."

"Let's just say, it was someone you know." Keito stood up. Before he left, he added in, "Oh, and you really should consider forgetting Nakajima-kun. You will just hurt yourself in the end."

When what Keito said has been registered in Ryutaro's head, he turned and yelled at Keito, "What do you mean by that?" However, Keito just ignored him.

-------------------------------------------

"Hey, is it alright for you to slack off?" Daiki asked as Yuto hung his apron behind the kitchen door.

"It's fine," Kano-san replied on Yuto's behalf, giving Daiki a thumb up. "New couple should spend more time together." Daiki blushed slightly.

Yuto chuckled softly, wrapping a hand around Daiki's waist. "Not here," Daiki muttered, still blushing.

"Shoo~" Kano-san said to the couple, laughing as the two boys replied, "Hai~!" and left he kitchen.

--------------------------------------------

"Yama-chan, you have to help me!" Chinen cried, looking at Yamada with big, pouty eyes.

Yamada sighed. "What's wrong now?" he asked. Chinen mumbled a reply, but Yamada didn't quite catch him. "Excuse me?" the former raised his eyebrows.

Chinen exhaled his breath. "I said," he paused, "Well, I said...HELP ME FIND RYUTARO'S ROOM, PLEASE!"

Yamada glared at the shorter teen. "You don't have to shout, you know?"

"But..."

"Anyway, why are you calling Morimoto by his first name?" Yamada asked. "You just met him today. You can't be that close to him already, can you?"

"Like I care if he allows me to call him by his first name or not," Chinen stuck out his tongue.

Yamada sighed. "Come on, let's go."

Chinen's face brightened. "Really?" he asked happily.

"Go. Now. Before I change my mind."

Chinen needn't be told twice. "Aye aye captain!" he exclaimed. Yamada sighed, closing the door behind him.

-----------------------------------

After bugging Yabu for a while, Yamada and Chinen managed to get some information from the student council president. "I know where that dorm is," Chinen said, skipping happily. "It's just near Nakaken's room."

Yamada raised an eyebrow, thinking, 'Who's Nakaken?'

Once they've arrived in front of Ryutaro's dorm room, Chinen knocked on the door. "Ryutaro!!!" he called out. After knocking for a few times, finally, a grumpy Ryutaro opened the door. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Hey, Ryutaro~" Chinen grinned widely, as if he hadn't done anything wrong.

Ryutaro sighed, massaging his temple. He has stopped trying to make Chinen call him by his surname. "What do you want?" he asked.

"Join us for dinner!" Chinen practically bounced.

Ryutaro looked at Yamada, who shrugged. "I don't think you friend will be comfortable with me joining."

Chinen looked from Ryutaro to Yamada, then to Ryutaro again. He giggled. "Nah, I don't think Yama-chan minds." He looked at his room mate. "Ne, Yama-chan?"

"I don't care either way," Yamada said, leaning against the wall.

Ryutaro sighed. "Alright, alright, I'm coming."

"Yay!!!" Chinen squealed, jumping on Ryutaro's back.

"What the hell are you doing?" Ryutaro cried but Chinen kept clinging onto Ryutaro's back. Yamada, who followed from behind, looked at them with an amused expression.

'Maybe Chinen could change the kid's mind,' Yamada thought.

---------------------------------------------

"So, who are we sitting with?" Ryutaro asked.

"Oh, my friends. They're like brothers to me," Chinen grinned widely at Ryutaro, saying, "You are so gonna love them too." When they entered the cafeteria, Chinen pointed at a corner. "Look, there they are. Oooh, Dai-chan brought his boyfriend too."

Ryutaro was stunned when he saw the person beside Arioka Daiki. Before he could register what Chinen had said, the latter dragged him towards the table. "Hey guys, meet my new friend, Morimoto Ryutaro," Chinen exclaimed happily.

"Oh hey, it's Morimoto-kun," Hikaru exclaimed.

Chinen seemed surprise. "Eh??? You know him?"

Takaki nodded his head. "Hikaru, Ryo-chan and I met him in Hokkaido."

"Yuto, you..." Ryutaro stared at the said boy's arm around Daiki's waist.

Immediately, the atmosphere turned black. Daiki, especially, was feeling uncomfortable.

"Ano, did I miss something here?" he asked.

Ryutaro shoo his head. "Iie," he added in, "Sorry, I just remembered I forgot something." Before Chinen could stop him, he left the cafeteria.

Yuto sighed. "I'll go after him." He turned to Daiki. "I'll tell you everything about it later, okay?" he gave Daiki a kiss before running after Ryutaro.

Yamada took a seat beside Takaki. "That kid should really gie up before he hurt himself." The other except for Takaki, Hikaru and Keito looked at Yamada curiously.

---------------------------------------------

Ryutaro clenched his fists, kicking the pebble into the pond. "How stupid could I be?" he chuckled. He kicked another pebble into the pond, saying to himself, "Why would he wait just because I sent him a letter?" As he sat on the bench, he shivered. Ryutaro wrapped his arms around himself. He was startled when he felt something warm was wrapped around himself.

"I thought you would be cold."

Upon hearing the voice, Ryutaro immediately turned around. "Yuto."

The said boy took a seat beside Ryutaro. "Why did you ran suddenly?"

Ryutaro blushed, looking at his hands on his lap. "I..."

"I guess I should have told you myself earlier," Yuto stated. "Rather than you finding out on your own." Ryutaro wanted to say something, but he can't, feeling the lump forming in his throat. Yuto continued, "Ryutaro, you must understand. I love Daiki."

Warm tears rolled down Ryutaro's cheeks. "Why him?" he asked. "I knew you first, so why him."

"You're wrong about that one, Ryutaro," Yuto replied. "Daiki and I...we were from the same orphanage. We were best friends, but we lost contact when someone adopted me, till the day I was found in front of your doorsteps."

"That's not fair," Ryutaro mumbled. "I know the current you."

Yuto hugged Ryutaro. "And Daiki is still learning about me," he whispered. "But our heart seeks one another, and there's nothing anyone could do but to accept it, do you understand?"

Ryutaro gave a faint nod. "I can't lie to say I've accepted that fact, but I'll try," he said softly. Pulling away from Yuto's embrace, rubbing his eyes. Then, he looked directly at the older teen. "You're happy with him, right?"

"Yes," Yuto said, "and Ryutaro, I know you will find someone better than me, that will make you happy too."

Ryutaro stood up. "I doubt that, but thanks," he gave Yuto a small grin before leaving.

-------------------------------------------------------

"Yamada-kun?" Ryutaro said, surprised when he saw the other teen waiting in front of his dorm room.

Yamada nodded his head, acknowledging the other teen's presence. "You're okay?"

Ryutaro nodded his head, and gave Yamada a small smile. "Yamada-kun, gomen."

Yamada raised an eyebrow. "Why are you apologizing?"

"Ever since I've found out you had a special relationship with Yuto, I was often jealous," Ryutaro admitted. "Never would I have thought that it was some other guys who would take Yuto's heart."

Yamada nodded his head. "Back then, in my past, it was dark. Yuto, he was there as well, and he cared for me, and helped me."

Ryutaro nodded his head. "Thank you, Yamada-kun."

Yamada looked away, blushing slightly. "It's nothing."
