i am ridiculous

Sooo, awesome story to share with you all about what a total ass I am.  Mmm, where to begin?  Well, last night in a moment of utter stupidity and weakness, I parked my sweet Chrysler Sebring in a staff parking spot located fairly nearby my college dorm.  It was 12:30 at night, pouring rain, and I had on a t-shirt, flipflops, and had no umbrella or jacket.  Fuck walking 10 minutes to the "open" Lot 17. Yeah...

So the next day, (today), I'm getting out of art class at 5 pm.
"Shit" I say to myself.
"You never moved your car." At this point I start running because I'm afraid I got towed.
So I reach the parking lot and walk towards a bunch of empty spots, frantically scanning the rows for my car.
Nothing.
I walk by once, twice..
"Where the fuck is it?" I think to myself, wiling myself to see it parked in a space a bit beyond my line of vision, hoping that I'm only just temporarily insane and suffering from memory loss.
Nope.
Realizing the inevitable, I continue on my way to the caf to meet Tim for dinner and call campus police to try to find my car and figure out what to do next.. I have to intern the next day so my car is crucial to this plan.
Switchboard: What happened?
"My car isn't where I parked it."
"Oh, then yea, it was probably towed. I don't see a description for that car here, but the officer who just came on duty probably hasn't been passed off the information about towing yet. Can I have you cell so I can call you back once we find your car?"
"Sure." [give my cell #]

So, I'm furious with myself and freaking out that 'I, me.. I got TOWED! I'm a senior. How could I be so dumb. I know better.'
I call my mom immediately while I wait for Tim to meet me at the caf.
She empathizes and then gently asks, "I know this is a stupid question, but are you sure it's not there."
I roll my eyes and laugh as I say, "Mom, the space is empty. I'm pretty certain. It's gone."
Then I go on to tell her how much it will cost to take care of, how much the rules suck here and how it doesn't matter your circumstances, a little rain is no excuse... and then launch into how the sticker on my car isn't a "legal"sticker for that car's license plate. Techincally, I registered my parking sticker for a different car, which I never brought to campus.  Since buying my new car I figured, I'll just use this sticker and screw the $fee for "transferring an old sticker to a new car" bullshit.

So on top of illegally parking in a staff spot, I'll get caught with a bad sticked. Awesome.

I tell my mom that maybe if dad steps in and does some yelling this will all go away.  She calls him immediately and he calls the school.

Then...

In the cafeteria while I'm in line with my ziti, the moment of horrifying recollection hits.. the moment when moving my car which I drove TO A JOB INTERVIEW THAT SAME MORNING and neatly parking it into an amazing spot right behind my dorm hits me..
My car was never towed.

Umm, yea. Awesome.
