I like first person if it's done well. This goes for both fanfic and published work. I think there may be an upswing in popularity because of Twilight and Hunger Games? Anyway, when it's fanfic of TV or movies, most people go with third person to be closer to the POV of the source, I think, but that's not necessary. It IS essential to have a strong voice with first person.
I'm not a big second person fan. It comes across as experimental to me. I wouldn't want to read an entire book written that way. To me it isolates the reader from the POV characters. So I enjoy it in a short, stylistic piece, but I wouldn't want to read a long story in second person.
I've picked up a bad habit of writing in present tense with my own fic. Because of porn. I like the immediacy of present tense for sex scenes, as a writer, but I'll enjoy either present or past tense in other people's writing. I just flipped through the tabs of fic I need to comment on and found both present and past tense, so apparently I don't notice any more. Before I read so much fic, I'd find present tense in a novel surprising, but I'm used to it now.
