Sam Witwicky was born in 1990 to a very strange family. When he was just 12 years old, his dad gave him priceless artifacts that once belonged to his ancestor, Archibald Amundsen Witwicky. Little did Sam know that these would become very important to him when he turned 17. In high school, he did a report about this ancestor- however, while giving it; he tried to advertise the items as for sale on E-Bay.
By the end of the presentation, his teacher gave him a B- on the project for poor form. Sam ends up guilting him into giving him an A just so he can get a car. His dad takes Sam to a used car store and Sam picks out an awesome yellow car with black racing stripes. Suddenly: small explosion happens and the windows of every car there break. Sam takes the yellow-car home.
He goes to a lake with a friend and Sam noticed that Mikaela had dumped Trent was walking home. Because of his broken car radio, Sam got an idea. He would drive Mikaela home! Now was a perfect chance to be alone with her, so Sam kicked Miles out and asked to ride Mikaela home, er, give her a ride home.
Later that night, Sam’s car started up and drove away so Sam had to chase after it on a bike. He followed the car to a junk yard where he watched it transform in front of his very eyes, and used his cell phone to record himself narrating that his car was alive. After being chased by dogs and his car, Sam was soon arrested by the cops. His dad had to bail him out the next day.
After being bailed out of jail, Sam sees the car return. Sam grabs his mother's bike and fled the area with the car chasing him. While in front of a burger king the bike flips and Sam lands hard on the ground in front of his love interest. He mutters something about losing his mind before riding off again. Now, not only was his car chasing him, but a cop car joined the fun.
The cop got to Sam before his own car could and like the Camaro, it transformed into a robot. This one was not so friendly - he ordered Sam to tell him where the glasses were and almost would have killed him if he didn't escape. As he ran, he found Mikaela and Sam's car appeared in the nick of time. They jumped in and drove off with Barricade chasing them.
Finally, nightfall came, and the car hid itself from Barricade and threw Sam and Mikaela out. The two transformed and fought while the little humans tried to escape. As they ran, Frenzy, a small little robot grabbed Sam by the legs, accidentally ripping his pants off instead. Soon, Mikaela came with a power saw to cut Frenzy up, and Sam punted its head. They get in the car and Mikaela insults Bumblebee because he looks like crap. The two get kicked out and the car drives off but returns as a 2009 Camaro, no less.
Bumblebee takes them to the other robots. There the humans learned of the auto bots- the "good" robots who were trying to find something known as the All Spark- raw power. The Decepticons (bad guys) also wanted it, and the Autobots were going to make sure that didn't happen. If it did, humankind would die. Optimus Prime stated that they needed Sam's glasses because they would lead them to the All Spark. Sam returned home and it took him awhile to find the glasses and awkward moments happened when he locked his door and his mom thought he was having “happy time”.
Government agents arrived and arrested Sam and Mikaela. Their arrest didn't last long because Optimus came to the rescue. Mikaela handcuffed Simmons to a pole and Optimus Prime took the two and hid under a bridge. Unfortunately, they couldn't hold a grip on him and started to slip. Bumblebee grabbed them just in time, before they landed on the ground. Sector 7's backup arrived afterwards, capturing both Bumblebee and the two humans. From there they were taken to Hoover Dam. Tom Banachek wanted information on the aliens just as Simmons did, yet Sam was only going to speak if his car and parents were set free and Mikaela's criminal record deleted. Forever.
They agree and take Mikaela and Sam to see N.B.E.-1, real name, Megatron. He was frozen so there wasn’t much to do. Sam explained what Megatron wanted to do and then he learned that the government had the cube as well. When Sam got Bumblebee back, his robot-friend was taken to the All Spark and it changed size. As that happened, the Dam lost power causing Megatron to unfreeze and wake up.
They all jumped in their cars (and joined up with the other Autobots), took the cube, and went to Mission City. Crazy robot fighting happened and Bumblebee even lost his legs. told his friend that he wasn't going to leave him no matter what. Bumblebee's response was giving Sam the cube. Lennox gave Sam a red flare and while being protected by Autobots, Sam ran across the city to some building. Megatron followed him and when Sam refused to give him the cube, Megatron destroyed half the roof causing Sam to fall.
Optimus Prime saved Sam, fought Megatron and Sam took the cube and pointed it at Megatron’s chest - killing him and the cube. Earth was saved by some nerdy boy and he even got the hot girl.
Two years later, Sam graduates high school and he's moving on to college on the East Coast to be just a normal kid. While on the phone with Mikaela, convincing her to stay with him, Sam picks up a sliver of the cube that was stuck to his old hoodie. All the cube's power and information was imprinted on Sam's brain and then her dropped the sliver, burned a hole through his floor and created a handful of mini-Decepticons who attacked Sam and forced him to jump out of his window. Bumblebee came to his rescue, but also destroyed Sam's old room and half the backyard.
After the mini fight, Sam picked up the sliver and put it in a container and gave it to his girlfriend. Then he told 'Bee that he couldn't take him to college, the guardian thing was over and Sam just wanted a normal life and something better for his guardian than living in his dad's garage. Bumblebee took this the hard way and Sam told him he'd always be his first car where he then left go say goodbye to Mikaela.
He meets his crazy roommate, Leo, who runs an alien conspiracy website. After his parents leave campus, Leo and his friends take Sam to a party. Sam wanders off but something strange happens, he begins to see symbols and finds the urge to write them down and he does so in frosting. There, a girl from his dorm (Alice) begins to hit on Sam and he snaps out of it. Thankfully people begin to shout about a yellow car on the lawn. Perfect timing, 'Bee. Sam runs over and drives off, except Alice gets in the car so it's up to Bumblebee to chase her away.
With her out of the car, Bumblebee takes Sam to a cemetery to see Optimus Prime to plead for Sam to help the humans understand. Except Sam just wants to be normal and he walks off. Then in astronomy class, Sam has a mental breakdown and finishes reading the entire book in fifteen seconds and writes Cybertronian symbols on the chalkboard. When he gets kicked out of class, he calls Mikaela up to let her know what happened. She informs him that she'll be there in a few hours and they hang up and Sam writes more symbols in his entire dorm.
Leo and Alice appear in his room and Leo gets kicked out so Alice can make sexual advances towards Sam again. Mikaela even walks in on them kissing. Sam tries to stop her but suddenly a robotic tongue comes from Alice's mouth and starts to choke him. Leo and Mikaela run in and rescue Sam. Mikaela hotwires and they drive off. Alice attaches herself to the hood of the car and Mikaela runs her over, killing the crazy Pretender.
Their victory isn't long-lived because they're captured by another Decepticon, Grindor who can turn into a helicopter. They're taken to an abandon factory where Sam learns the Decepticon leader, Megatron, is still alive. Megatron pins him down and the "doctor" takes a look at Sam by stuffing some weird robot-bug in his mouth and then they're able to see what's on Sam's mind. The symbols. Right as they're about to open Sam's head to take his brain, Optimus and Bumblebee appear and rescue the three. Leo and Mikaela go with Bumblebee and Sam with Optimus.
Optimus takes Sam to a forest except three Decepticons have followed: Megatron, Starscream and Grindor. After running from Starscream, Sam hides behind a fallen tree and watches as Optimus kills Grindor and tries to look for Sam only to have Megatron stab Optimus and kill him. At that moment, Bumblebee and the other bots come and Sam runs to his car.
They hide in another old building and Leo watches TV from his cell phone. The Fallen found a way to appear on every television and he orders the humans to give them Sam or else. After Leo's freak out moment, Sam destroys the phone and goes to talk to Bumblebee and Mikaela to figure out their next move. Sam wants to turn himself in but neither Mikaela nor 'Bee will let him.
Leo mentions that his internet Rival "Robowarrior" might be of some use when it comes to translating the symbols. Bumblebee, Mikaela, Sam, Leo, Mudflap and Skids go to New York and they learn Robowarrior is Agent Simmons and he shows them pictures with the symbols written all over the world. When they realize they need to talk to a Decepticon so Mikaela pulls one out of his box-bag. Wheelie tells them the symbols are the language of the Primes and he knows where someone who can translate it is at.
They go to Washington and find a jet "blackfire". Sam holds up the cube sliver and the jet comes to life and transforms into an old Decepticon called Jetfire. Jetfire explains that he used to be a Decepticon but now he's an Autobot. He also tells them that only a Prime can kill the Fallen.
Jetfire teleports them all to Egypt and explains that they’ll need to find the Tomb of the Primes if they want to get the Matrix to bring Optimus to life.
After running from the cops, they locate the Matrix only… it turns into dust in Sam’s hands. However he believes that the dust will still bring Optimus to life and he stuffs it in a sock. They quickly go to a town where the military dropped off Optimus and they get chased by Decepticons along the way. Bumblebee even manages to take two out when they toss Sam’s parents into the whole mess.
After reaching Lennox, Sam goes out of his way to run to Optimus. Only that fails because Megatron comes out of no where and shoots at Sam.
Explosions happen and Sam dies. Except, all the Primes appear before him and tell him that the Matrix has to be earned and Sam has earned it. They tell him this is his destiny and he has to return to revive Optimus. Sam wakes up to Mikaela confessing her love, and he confesses it right back then grabs the Matrix that isn’t pixie dust anymore and stabs it into Optimus who comes back to life.
The Fallen sucks and he takes the Matrix right back out so Optimus can’t do anything so Jetfire gives his spark to Optimus as well as his parts and Optimus goes to kick some robot ass. He wins and Sam returns to college.
Character Personality:
Sam is nineteen and how do most teenagers act? ...Well, not like Sam.
The best word to describe Sam would be "spazz". He freaks out no matter the situation, good or bad. Once he enters spazz mode, he will begin to panic and talk fast, although at other times he'll just scream and repeat his words. When he's panicked, he turns into more of a klutz. Sam is an expert of faceplants and not paying attention to his surroundings. He'll also order people around.
But Sam isn't stupid- surprisingly he knows when enough is enough, and when it's time to just stop talking.
The thing about Sam is that he always longed to fit in. Especially in high school, where fitting in is important. You don't get shoved into lockers if you're a "cool kid". In the past, Sam has been known to try out for football teams and even go to parties that he wasn't invited to, just so he can be in the "right" crowd. He doesn't do this all the time, only when he sees fit to try and fit in. The reason one might actually be inclined to say Sam doesn't fit in with the "jocks", would be, quite honestly, because he is a geek. The movie doesn't explain it, but you can see small things in his room that gives this off: like the giant world map in his window.
Despite all his many flaws, Sam is still a good kid. While, yes, he will tell a person to shut up if they're embarrassing him or kick a best friend out of the car in favor of a hot girl, he still means well enough. Mikaela, for example, he will put before anyone else.
He also has traits of being a leader. With that being said, Sam is extremely loyal. He won't leave a friend behind no matter the situation (well, unless he is trying to woo a girl). When Bumblebee lost his legs, Sam was there by his side, trying to get him to move while telling him he wouldn't leave him. If anything, after the battle in mission city LA, Sam values friendship even more.
He just wants to be normal but being introduced to alien robots took that all away. He went from being a nobody to saving earth. He suddenly had bigger problems than who to take to prom. Because of the robots, he changed. He became someone who is willing to rid their life for their friends and Earth itself. No sacrifice, no victory.
Like any person would be, he was hesitant about it at first. Unsure if he could do it but in the end, he did. Now it’s almost a habit. He even runs into dangerous situation but just because he's brave and can tell off the harbinger of death doesn't mean he can take it like a man. He'll still shriek like a little girl so word of advice: get earplugs.
Finally, he has been described as an extortionist. As the dictionary says, an extortionist is "to obtain from another by coercion or intimidation." If there is a chance that the Earth will be destroyed unless Sam helps save it, he won't do it unless he can get something in return. The things he will ask for will involve his friends in some way, something to help them out, like getting rid of Mikaela's criminal record. Oh, and hopefully you'll have a pen and paper because Sam tends to make this list long. He also likes to guilt-trip people in order to gain things.

Powers:
Sam doesn't exactly have any powers, but due to recent events he appears to be almost a genius. Because of the point Sam was pulled from he's unaware of this fact. However, he can read an entire textbook in little under five minutes as well as hallucinate symbols floating around and hearing a voice in another language whisper things to him. (he's not thinking much of this. it's just start of the school year stress, he thinks.)
Why is such a normal kid experiencing such abnormal things? It's because of the cube shard he picked up as he packed his entire life into boxes. In the movie, the Fallen states that the Allspark's "power and information cannot be destroyed, it can only be transferred."
What does this mean for Sam besides having a few breaks downs and scribbling said symbols everywhere?
Not sure. The movie doesn't go into detail on what exactly Sam's mind holds. But if you go with what the Fallen said then it is possible Sam could create little baby robots. Will this happen? Depends. But it wouldn't be something right away.
This isn't exactly a power but it's nice to take note of it: the one amazing thing about Sam during the entire film is how often he got hurt. Countless times. He faceplanted into the ground, got attacked by giant robots, and yet he still survived it all in the end. Apparently, he can take the pain- definitely more durable than most. Some would even call this extraordinary luck.

Like any person would be, he was hesitant about it at first. Unsure if he could do it but in the end, he did. Now it’s almost a habit. He even runs into dangerous situation but just because he's brave and can tell off the harbinger of death doesn't mean he can take it like a man. He'll still shriek like a little girl so word of advice: get earplugs.
Finally, he has been described as an extortionist. As the dictionary says, an extortionist is "to obtain from another by coercion or intimidation." If there is a chance that the Earth will be destroyed unless Sam helps save it, he won't do it unless he can get something in return. The things he will ask for will involve his friends in some way, something to help them out, like getting rid of Mikaela's criminal record. Oh, and hopefully you'll have a pen and paper because Sam tends to make this list long. He also likes to guilt-trip people in order to gain things.

Powers:
Sam doesn't exactly have any powers, but due to recent events he appears to be almost a genius. Because of the point Sam was pulled from he's unaware of this fact. However, he can read an entire textbook in little under five minutes as well as hallucinate symbols floating around and hearing a voice in another language whisper things to him. (he's not thinking much of this. it's just start of the school year stress, he thinks.)
Why is such a normal kid experiencing such abnormal things? It's because of the cube shard he picked up as he packed his entire life into boxes. In the movie, the Fallen states that the Allspark's "power and information cannot be destroyed, it can only be transferred."
What does this mean for Sam besides having a few breaks downs and scribbling said symbols everywhere?
Not sure. The movie doesn't go into detail on what exactly Sam's mind holds. But if you go with what the Fallen said then it is possible Sam could create little baby robots. Will this happen? Depends. But it wouldn't be something right away.
This isn't exactly a power but it's nice to take note of it: the one amazing thing about Sam during the entire film is how often he got hurt. Countless times. He faceplanted into the ground, got attacked by giant robots, and yet he still survived it all in the end. Apparently, he can take the pain- definitely more durable than most. Some would even call this extraordinary luck.
