a home in portland, please
hello friends,
i am moving to portland , oregon. it is surprising i know, but sometimes you just have to do something drastic. i am looking for a home on october first, november at the latest. i am into houses that are like this:
communal but with not too many roomates [in philly i lived with seven, id like to slim it down to three or four]. communal food is negotiable, i like to share my snackies but wouldnt mind hoarding organic hummus either.
crafty! i make knit things and bound books, am interested in sewing and embroidery and can often be found listening to soft melodies as i stitch. i enjoy fellow crafters or people who like quiet activities as well!
clean-ish and maybe owned by a person i live with and not a landlord? these are not necessarily musts but would really be nice.
queer! i am queer and would love to live with others who are similarly afflicted! at the very least i need to live with folks that are queer positive.
here are some other facts about me: i am vegan but not preachy, i am allergic to wheat and will blow your mind with my gluten free banana bread, i like to read and will talk to you for hours about dorothy allison or assata shakur. i am white and working to understand what that means in a world where light skin means i have a shit ton of privilege. i like to talk about things that matter but also like to make jokes and dance. i have a dirty mouth and talk about boning unabashadly [i just finished being a sex educator for high schools in philly] but i am oftentimes very shy when it comes to certain things.
i am looking for a bit of permenance but a sublet might be in order first so get in touch!
