ok, does anyone ever get super dry hands. especially between your fingers.  this is a first for me and its really bad.  putting lotion on today just made them red and hurty.  if you suffer from this problem, and have a solution, im going to try it.  i plan to fix this issue tomorrow after work.

lotions, gloves, scrubs, creams...what works?!

Eczema?

I get steroids from a dermatologist. It disappears in like 1 to 2 days. Then use Cetaphil bar soap and Cetaphil lotion, the paste kind, not the lotion kind, the kind with the least amount of liquid content.

And stay away from perfumey lotions and hot water.

I don't have dry hands, but I've heard people talking about putting lotion on their hands and then putting gloves over and sleeping like that. I would of course recommend lotions that are not perfumey, full of crap, etc.. It's best to moisturize with water and then put on lotion so it seals it in.

ya thats what i do

i was using the yellow clinique face lotion on my hands because its pretty good and stuff and cuz i touch my face alot and didnt want nasty perfume lotions all over my face. but that ran out and it wasnt winning the war against this dry mess.

im thinking gloves but im wondering what lotion to go wiht. i have hand salve but its greasy and stuff.

should i just goop on vasoline, put em in gloves and sleep it off? would that work do you think? it sounds gross and messy....

I think Eucerin is good and many dr's recommend that. You might try vaseline, I use it for my lips to trap in the moisture from water.

Eucerin is the best with cotton gloves and clean cotton socks.

Do NOT use any lotion with scent or alcohol in it, as that makes the skin red, puffy, and all around more irritated. I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It works like a charm.
