The Party
Early that day Lacy had been so excited for the party. She had planned it so well and then even gone to a magical hairstylist to get it back to the way it was before she had dyed it. Everything should have been perfect.
Except for one simple detail. Bradin had yet to show up.
Lacy looked around the dancing crowds. There were plenty of people there but no way she could have missed him. The boy practically towered over everyone. And there wasn't much more time for him to show up either. The party had been going on all night.
Sighing to herself, Lacy dropped back onto her sofa.
"He's not coming," she whined to nobody in particular.
