Why Don't You Have A Girlfriend? You're, Like, Totally Cool And So Hot!

Damon was back and in top form this week, leaving all of us fan-girls to let out a collective sigh of relief, while basking in some more fantastic one-liners: “I’m at the Sizzler”, “What did you do Fed-Ex it to Rome?!”, “Oh, don’t get blood on the couch, please.”, “If anyone if going to kill you, it’s going to be me.”

Nina Dobrev gave an insanely good performance last night, whether it was the moment she confronted Stefan about his nature at the beginning of the episode, when she was confronted by Damon in the house, or when she broke down behind the door after telling Stefan she couldn’t be with him anymore, I was floored. Actually, the entire episode was filled with solid performances from the entire cast.

On the subject of Elena confronting Stefan in the opening sequence, much to the show’s credit, he spent no time denying that he was indeed a vampire.  Instead, he decides to tell her what he considers to be the “whole truth” about his orgins. But, something doesn’t sit well with me. The writers must be leaving key points about his past out because the flash-backs didn’t hold hardly any of the information that I was so longing for. Why were we not shown where the infamous rivalry between Damon and Stefan began, and where was Katherine’s tragic death scene? I do not seriously believe that Damon has held a grudge against his brother for over 145 plus years just because he got to escort one gorgeous girl to the Founder’s Ball. Stefan must have done something greater and even more terrible to Damon concerning Katherine that we don’t know about yet. And whatever it is, he isn’t telling Elena.

On the subject of Katherine, some might just down right hate her, but how can I harbor dislike for a sexy female vampire who, as it turns out, was with both brothers the same night. YOU GO GIRL. (I kid!... maybe.) Actually, I'll leave the choice up to you.

Poll Katherine: Love Her Or Hate Her?

The one Damon and Elena scene that we were given was short, but incredible. I loved their entire dynamic in that scene, and the way Ian delivered the line "I highly doubt that..." in reference of Stefan telling Elena the whole truth. And you could tell that Elena did indeed believe what he was saying... that she doubted Stefan. You could also tell how smoothly Damon channelled his rage towards his brother when he asked her "Where is Stefan?"

Now, it turns out that we're going to have to wait not one, but two weeks for a new episode of the Vampire Diaries to air. And even though this show has had its ups and downs, it has turned out to be my over the counter psuedoephederine. So what do you think will happen next episode? Will Elena and Stefan be apart more than fifteen minutes? Will Vikki go totally postal on Mystic Falls? Will Damon tell Elena what Stefan must be keeping from her? Post in the comments!
