Yeah, it's pretty predictable and there isn't really anything new about the story itself. Nevertheless I think it has some interesting twists to it. Maybe not when comparing it with the works of other mangaka, but rather when comparing it with Takanaga's other works. I love when it's the uke making the first step~ I don't think it's her best work... but I do quite enjoy it and I like the direction she has taken with the characters.
Anyway, I was actually delighted when I read that Ichikawa was still in love with his old teacher. Just because it really serves Kijima right! Haha XD Especially after his asshole-like behavior in chapter 2. Also, right now to me it looks like Kijima already is quite attached to Ichikawa. Kch. I think for both of them it is the case that they do feel drawn to each other. Then they both have been hurt by past love experiences and went to search for comfort with each other. Especially Ichikawa. I have no doubt that he was charmed by Kijima and also became infatuated with him, to certain extent. And then--given how lonely he must've felt ever since he left his hometown, it's understandable how he'd turn to Kijima... despite being unable to forget about his teacher.
