So on the job front, there have been some disappointments, but mostly successes.
I did not get the pre-school teaching job, which I kind of expected, given my complete lack of experience with 3 year olds. What was interesting is what my friend who works at the school told me. Evidently I was the most qualified (scary), but the teacher who quit was white, and some parents were contending that she was racist, so the principal went with a black woman.
I'm not really that mad... It is what it is.
On good notes though, I had my first subbing job on Monday. I taught 3rd graders and they were really cute. I had a great day.
And on Tuesday I got hired at a nanny agency. This is the same agency where Alexa works, and the clients are all rich (score!)
I've been working a bunch at the library...
My trip home was good. I'm sorry I didn't have time to see anyone. My time was spent basically at church, with my parents, driving, or with Hayley and Katrina.
