[ic][Hector] Not everything is a shameless ploy for social time...just most things

While most people might have considered him far too direct and his focus a bit too short to work out anything remotely scheming, Lacroix had come from a long line of questionable sorts in his family tree. Maybe it was the type of thing that was genetic in a way, because if need be he had the capacity to be sly; it was just in short bursts and very often not indulged.

But when he wanted something, ah, see, that was the difference.

That explained why the kitchen in Castle Styles had been in use for several hours that day, but the microwave had not. It really didn't hurt to extend a bit of effort into the idea of making certain Hector was in a good mood; and cooking for him was easy enough a start to that.
As tempting as it had been to instigate a conversation during the meal Lacroix had kept his mouth shut, only prodding at Hector for the normal small talk that he was hopelessly always attempting at any point he could track Hector down in the apartment.

And then he had spent part of the early evening in the library, reading like a good apprentice, yes.

But, finally, he decided it was time to see if he could convince Hector into the idea of letting his new...friend past the extremely secure walls of their domain. And since he didn't feel much desire to go trekking around the hallways yelling Hector's name the way he usually convinced the man out of hiding Lacroix decided to rely on the joys of the modern world and technology.

Laptop settled across his knees while he was perched in one of the library chairs, he typed away in an effort to gain Hector's attention, wherever he might have been lurking about at the time. Hopefully it was near enough to a computer to be noticed at some point.
