Whoa, whoa, whoa! One at a Time...

Spent the last week being confused for the IT department at work. Must be the glasses - because you know, anyone with glasses must be smart or like computers or something...right? *rolls eyes* Well, I guess that's the trouble with computers - if you have some common sense and the ability to Google things, you can usually figure out the problem. Besides, when all else fails, call the IT company and spend 4 hours on the phone with them while they fix the problem. *sigh*

Despite the insanity of the week, the last two weeks have been chock full of awesomeness - not only did Tomboy discover that her alter ego at our national office is as fangirly as I am, but I spent last Saturday at Anime North, indulging in some serious obsessive behaviour! I have almost completed my Fruits Basket manga collection (despite TOKYOPOP going belly-up) and indulged in a few new Inuyasha and Ranma manga's too. The new posters - including a certain hanyou, a tortured swordsman with lovely mako blue eyes, some lovely half-dressed Bleach boys, and the cast of Soul Eater - are almost ready to be hung about the Clubhouse. Feeling slightly experimental, Tomboy branched out and decided to make gyoza dumplings for lunch at the convention. Tomboy's two best buddies (M and J) and the little bro, The Munchkin, thoroughly enjoyed them and Tomboy was pleased with the results.

The kitchen experiments continued as sunomono salad, lemon chicken nuggets, and various stir fires and spring rolls were attempted with varying outcomes - all edible. Hmm...what to try next?

Tomboy's fingers have finally defrosted enough to actually type this after a chilly day hanging out at the Air Show. Between the wind and the rain and the unseasonable temperatures (awfully icy for June), we were more than a little frozen. M and I huddled under blankets, enjoying the faster than the speed of sound fighter jets performing for our amusement, while J was the official photographer of the day and seemed impervious to the cold. *sigh* Boys.

I'm working up to posting one of my stories up here...my nerve is almost at the sticking point, so hopefully it won't take much longer... Hello insecurities, nice to see you again. *snort*

Suppose Tomboy should actually start on those errands that need to be accomplished before the weekend ends. Y'know, being an adult looked like a lot less work when I was younger...
