(no subject)
OMGWTF! I swear I'm still alive. I've now been working at my firm for a year (as of yesterday), and it is not getting any less time-consuming, hence my vanishing. I geenrally stick with Facebook because it goes faster. I can't see myself moving toward Twitter, though. I like the different interaction options of FB. But, is it just me or did LJ get super slow?
Anyway, I still love my job, even though it's constantly busy and stressful (that's kind of just part of lawyering, though). I got something of a promotion, so now I get larger cases and I report directly to the head of my department. I'm quite excited, because he is one of the best lawyers I know, and he's seriously badass. I can learn a lot from him.
We moved into a two-bedroom apartment, selected because of its proximity to public transit. Additional benefits include the library and Goodwill being within walking distance and a whole separate room to use as an office, thus facilitating working from home. Within the next few months, the Chipotle that is currently under construction in the parking lot of our closest mall will be finished, and my life will be perfect <3
Speaking of walking to the library, over the summer I became addicted to the Percy Jackson books, and I have recently discovered the Seven Realms books by Cinda Williams Chima.
Errrrrr . . . that's about it? Yeah, I'll probably vanish from LJ again for a while *lol*
