Josh and I recently acquired Encore, HBO, and Starz for $1 more per month. This was a very good investment, as Josh is a movie guy and I like background noise while I study. I've seen a lot of movies I wouldn't otherwise have gotten from Netflix or even recorded; Josh is thrilled because all these random movies are on that he thinks are wonderful but no one likes but him.
So, I have HBO on as background noise (man, Epic Movie is STUPID), and I have now seen . . . my first True Blood ad! It was a fake ad from the Vampire Rights League telling Americans to stand up for vampire rights. At first I thought it was a generic liberal guilt trip ad, but then "Vampires were people too" came on, and I was like, "OH, THAT'S TRUE BLOOD!" I was excited ^_^
(True Blood is an HBO series based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampires series, which I really like. I'm really looking forward to it, and it was integral to my decision to get HBO in the first place)
