A couple public service announcements:
1. Not only are they playing Paprika (over a month before its theatrical release) at the Cherry Blossom Festival's anime marathon on April 14, but . . . Satoshi Kon himself is introducing that and Tokyo Godfathers. Tickets are free and are distributed starting at 10:30am; I plan to be in line by 9:30. The showings and ticket distribution are at the Smithsonian's Freer Gallery, on the blue/orange lines.
2. Lordi is playing Philly at the Trocadero on May 2. No, I am
NOT KIDDING. They're also playing Baltimore on the 3rd, but I'm going to Philly so I can see them with my metal buddy Cate ^_^ Josh is going to laugh at us . . . I don't care, we're going to see Lordi live!!!
Other than those extremely exciting announcements, things are actually going fairly well. I finished my first paper last night and even did my reading for class today while still getting some manga-reading in. Now I'm going to clean up my kitchen and start my second paper, before going to my journal meeting at 9:30 and then hitting the road for PA. I'm going to be in Philly for just tomorrow at Josh's house, then in the Poconos Saturday and Sunday to see my parents, then back to Philly Monday morning for a job interview. Cross your fingers for me, I'm really excited about this job!
