You have been here far longer than I have and know more concerning the island's magic than I do.

Yes. Though the thing was called a 'mystical music box' and I found it in the magical artifacts store, there seemed to be no effect. Of course, considering the island, assuming there was no effect would be foolish.

After playing it once, it refuses to play again.

*tries to open, but can't* Strange. You open it.

I would if I could. After the first use, it shut itself up and refuses to open regardless of how much force is used, which makes little sense since opening it in the first place was easy.

I don't remember seeing any physical locks, so I can only assume magic of some kind is being used to keep it shut.

If it's the island's artifact, the island's magic must be holding it. There's nothing we can do about that.

*he pushes it back, disinterested again*

I would suggest you take this more seriously. This box was in the possession of someone intimately familiar with magical artifacts and even he considered it particularly dangerous.

Link. He disappeared a week or so ago. We talked on several occasions about the items he owned and he told me to stay away from this one in particular. I visited the artifact shop yesterday and they just so happened to have this in their stock.

Whatever the reason was for Link being so uncomfortable with this music box, I do not know.

And it did nothing when you opened it?

It played a pretty little song...and promptly shut itself.

I find it unlikely the island would have an item like this that did NOT cause something inconvenient to occur.
