Wearing his spiffy new uniform and carrying his jacket over his shoulder, Marion promenaded the hallways with a huge grin on his face. He didn't know why, but he felt like those stares seemed kind of... off for an All Boy's School. Well, whatever. It didn't seem like they would be shoving his face on any toilets soon, so he felt safe

Oh, just how ridiculous Blough's face had been when Gilbert had fled from the woods, just when Blough had managed to got himself undressed, having his mocking laugh echoing within the wind. Very fitting for such ridiculous man as Blough.
Now he was walking on the halls, only half dressed and still having leafs and small scratches from the branches on him, of course. The crowd that these halls usually had, stepped aside as Gilbert passed them. But the other boys only moved aside so that they could form those small gossip-groups. Gilbert could hear them whispering about his shameless attitude and appearance as they pointed him with fingers. That didn't matter since he had gotten used to this a long time ago when he transfered to this school.
But this time as he was heading towards his room, he could not help but notice the new face wandering in those same halls as he. Another transfer student already? It seemed like this new boy had not yet heard about Gilbert's reputation in this school, for he didn't step aside from his way like everyone else did.

"Hello," Marion greeted, hearing the barely audible gossip around them. "You're not in proper uniform."

Gilbert decided to ignore it, he did not need another 'good boy' or rule-fanatic around him. He was already put up with one kid like that (who just couldn't mind his own business and stop interfering with Gilbert's life.).
To return the favor of rudeness, Gilbert just coldly walked past this new boy without even looking at him, almost as if he hadn't seen or heard him.

"Rules, rules, rules..," he began, not caring if Gilbert decided to ignore him. "They're impossible, aren't they? Dress properly, comb, wake up before seven... it's as if they were made to prevent everything natural about us, as human beings. Authority itself is hypocritical and ridiculous, but do you know why these rules are made?
"To benefit everyone, and to show them that everyone's equal. Rules, etiquette, authority... all of these are made to set a boundary between us, the thinking species, and the other animals that depend on nothing but instinct. It tells us that we're smart, we don't have to resort to survival of the fittest, but... people like you, people like the principal... you're all standing on the line, mocking it."
Marion, then, reached out to grab Gilbert's wrist. "I, for one, refuse to allow you to continue doing that."

"You may be a good speaker, but I have no interested in hearing your blabbering or whatsoever. Especially such boring falsies as those words you spoke of!" His voice had changed from the cold to something that was bored and apathetic, yet strangely it was bit amused too.
He turned around, to continue walking away, but before that he looked over his shoulder at the Marion and said: "Oh, and never even think about giving me orders again. Otherwise you will be sure to regret it."

"They're nothing but the truth," Marion responded. "And what if I do? Tuck in your shirt, put on your vest, comb your hair, and go to class."

Now he was mocking him, Gilbert didn't even try to hide it as he spoke. This new boy had a nerve to insult him by giving orders and lecturing him about the rules. And yet he still dared to claim wanting nothing more than 'equality.'

"Rules... exist to bring harmony between people, but if I let people like you pass by, with your free spirits, then I wouldn't be a pretty good student, would I?"
Reply
"There is no such thing as equality or pride in that."

Marion took a step back. Gilbert was so close, too close. Marion gulped. His mind was panicking. He didn't allow people to come this close unless he allowed them to, so his confidence faltered a little.
"Rules are there to in force balance, authority is there to take the poor man's money."

"Are you sure it's not you who is mistaken?" There was now seduction in his eyes as the smirk grew wider. Oh, Gilbert was quite amused by this new boy's reaction, even though it wasn't anything that he hadn't seen before but it was always quite entertaining to see when one's like Marion were losing their focus.
Reply
"M-much like rules, one needs to respect other people's personal space."

His hand reached to grab gently on Marion's chin as he lowered his voice to more quiet. "These rules are also taking one of our humanly need away."
Reply
"I'm sure it has good reason to."
