I have been quite good, thank you. I'm enjoying spending time in the dorms with out all the usual bustle, I have to admit.

I..thought it would be best to simply stay here for the holidays. After all, someone needs to keep Gilbert company.

No, you're right, I suppose we don't. Perhaps we will be able to talk some more before everyone comes back and classes start up again.

He's been all right, I think. He gets a bit strange around this time of year, I've been told, so I'm just trying to keep his mind off of whatever it is that's bothering him. He's a lot less hostile that usual, I think it's because there are fewer people around.

Don't ever hesitate to ask.

He has trouble trusting people, it can be...tricky getting throught to him. Although I really think on some level he appriciates those who reach out to him...I-I'm sure he does.

Yes, quite. I can't say I have experienced the kind of suffering Gilbert has, but I think our relationship is based on mutual experience of sorts.

How sweet she sounds; a bit like my sisters. And yes, I miss my family quite a bit when I'm not with them, especially around this time. Unfortunately, duty called and I have to stay here to help Rosemariné with this and that.
