Wow, I can't think of the last time I did a meme. But this one was excellent!

sewphisticate 1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.
Full first name? Not a soul. Middle name? Yes. Robin: a family name. My great-grandmother's maiden name was Jean Robbins, and there's at least one or more Robin or Robbins in each subsequent generation. Kinda cool. :)
2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?
There are very few names I like...I tend to favor names that are excessively British, prosaic, uncommon and proper. For example, I love Giles, Huw, Aulay and Somerled. And I love Beatrice, Emma, Mariana, and both Rosalind and Rosamund. How period of me! :)
3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?
Probably something horribly uncreative like....after my father or grandfather: John. Blech.
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?
Ha ha ha...funnily enough, when I was three or four I really wanted to be named "Susan" after my favorite preschool teacher. I do *not* look like a "Susan", so it's hard to imagine picking that for myself now.
5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?
ALL. THE. TIME. People, for some reason, simply *cannot* pronounce my full first name. I've been called, among other things, Irene, Aryan, Ahhrheeahhhhn, etc etc etc. *sigh* You can see why it's easier to go by Annie. :)
