I'm here-ish. :) I pop in a few times a week but I don't post as often. I keep trying to change that. Good to see you!

Hey! You! I'd remember those Ellen icons anywhere! Nice to see you! How have you been doing?

Hee, I love my Ellen icons. :D I've been doing very well, thanks! Busy with school. Just finished my second degree and I'm headed to teachers college in the fall. Most notably, I am a soon-to-be-published author. I signed a contract with a small press back in April. Believe it or not, the story that's being published is one I originally wrote for BF, but it's undergone quite a few changes since then. Without BF, I think I'd still be writing fanfiction. It gave me the kick I needed to push myself outside of my comfort zone and now the sky's the limit! :)

Congrats on your advance to teacher's college! That's awesome stuff-- I think you'd be a pretty much badass teacher. :-)

Yeah, BF has been like that -- I've heard a dozen or so stories over the years of people who had their writing published after writing it for the community. I really should get off my tuckus and make a stab at publishing something too. It's been a goal of mine to try since Junior High School. Just out of curiosity, how did you break into the publishing thing? Like, what's square one?

Thank you so much! I really can't wait to start teaching. :) I think you should definitely try the publishing thing! My big break has been a year in the making. Actually, maybe even longer still. One of my greatest friends that I met through fanfiction got her big break a couple years ago with the same publisher I'm now with. I watched her and all the trials and tribulations she went through, made note of all the lessons she learned, and dreamed of the day I could follow in her footsteps ( ... )

Wow, thank you! I'll definitely keep that in mind -- sounds like a ton of hard work, a few connections, and a big stroke of luck. I wonder if my writing is good enough for the big leagues...

<3 Hope so. I still don't know "who I am", though. My writings are all over the place.
