Personal History: Julian lived with his mother for most of his life. They were very poor, but never let it get to them. Both he and Ms.O'Brien made the best of the situation, until around 1999, Julian's sadly passed away- much to the dismay of a then displaced Julian. With no father to speak of, he went to live with his God family, the Wyrien's. Today, he still lives with them (quite happily I might add) and their five daughters. While he loves his new family, at the beginning of the summer, Julian must be pried from the Express.
Personality: Very much like the lake at Hogwarts, Julian more often than not seems smooth, cool, collected, and generally inviting. Although few know about Julian what we all know about the lake. Things unforeseen lurk in it's murky depths. No one has permanently befriended Julian O'Brien. Even fewer people have ever gotten a chance to probe his mind. Like an underground volcano, Julian lets the pressure build up inside of him, until finally, he erupts. Despite this, he is much like the tide; gliding in quietly, and flowing back out, note-ably inconspicuous. His polite, courteous manner is not so adhering as to suggest people would remember his face. So far, at Hogwarts, he had only managed to rub teachers the wrong way. And even they couldn't resist his appreciative smiles and raving comments about their subjects. Julian is the stereotypical Hufflepuff. He loves everyone, no matter who or what they are. Everyone has some good in them, right? Wand waving had never been a strong suit for Julian. In fact, he nearly failed every class that involved wands. Julian had a taste for the world around him. Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, and Potions were his most beloved classes. He thought it a great shame that Hogwarts did not have a swimming class. He did not want to be an auror, or a teacher, and god forbid he work in the Ministry. Maybe he could conserve the dwindling numbers of magical creatures?
Physical Description:
As the last name suggests, Julian was very much Irish. His hair was red- no so much fiery as faded-out. It was wispy and not too long, and not too short. Pieces spent all of their free time in his eyes, and Julian spent all of his free time trying futilely to push them elsewhere. His cheeks and shoulders were dusted with a fine layer of rust-colored freckles, and he burst into flame as opposed to getting tan in the sun. Although, he wasn't all Irish. No. His wide hips, his thin build, long-but-not-too-big nose, and his tall, six foot three stature had to come from somewhere. Where, one may never know. However, his crystal blue eyes clearly of the Polish variety. It was a wonder his hair wasn't more blond. The British have a reputation for bad teeth, Julian, however had pearly whites. He made a habit of never smirking. He had teeth in nearly every smile, because one never knows when someone around you needs a cheering up. As we all know, smiles are contagious. Julian preferred pants. His legs were like the rest of his body, slim. Though, if a lake or a pond every called to him, he didn't mind shorts. His fingers were long, thin, and where ever they moved, they did so delicately. He could've been a pianist, but he was not. His artistic skills, or lack there of, was a lovable flaw of his. Not everyone could play an instrument, or write, or even just be creative. When he wasn't wearing the all too common button down sweater (vest) and tie, he was wearing sweat shirts and navy blue trousers.

Hobbies and talents: Between swimming and planting, Julian didn't have much time for anything else. Not that he minded. Those three things were what he enjoyed most. When it became too cold to swim, and his plants came out of season, he was troubled by all of his sitting around time.
Weaknesses: Julian is incredibly thick when it comes to charms and transfiguration. He is very forgetful, and couldn't retain all the different names of spells (though can remember some of the more interesting ones). Still, in his sixth year, any match he tries to change into a needle isn't quite as pointy as he'd like it to be, and if struck hard enough, would light. Balance is not something Julian has a lot of. Luckily, he can brush it off with only slightly pink cheeks and a laugh. Brooms also hassle Julian. Ever since his first year, he and brooms had been locked in a tight battle. Mostly, brooms are triumphant. Despite his poor eye sight, Julian does not wear glasses. He is very near sighted, and that could be the one cause of his ungracefulness. Because of his small build, strength is another thing Julian lacks.
