I can hear the bats in the roof. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up....little scratching sounds. We were outside Tuesday night and seen at least 3 (Ryan says 6) circling by the side door. I think they have figured out triggering the motion light attracts more insects. I will not call an exterminator unless it gets so bad that I am afraid to go outside after or at dusk. I was reading in the Free Press on Sunday about how bats in New England are suffering from this strange white fungal disease that is causing them to drop dead en masse and how one bat can eat 3,000 insects per evening. Due to the hardship of their brethren and extreme efficiency, a stay of execution is granted.

I purchased my Kings of Leon tickets via Ticketmaster this morning. Their $10.50 a ticket service fee chaps my ass every time. Nine out of ten shows we see are downtown so my mums and I go buy the tickets at the box office (Fox, Fillmore, Joe Louis, Etc.) and have lunch somewhere fun to circumvent this bullshite, but since this is at the Palace (booooooo) the internet was my best option. I hope Congress does something about this Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger or more bands Eddie Vedder/Trent Reznor up and do their own ticket sales. I did get really good tickets but not the greatest ever which is strange since I bought them the second they went on sale. The Rolling Stone has been going on at length about this recently and said that this happens because Ticketmaster also owns StubHub (i think it was, if not it is some other 3rd party agency) and they just cut the very best tickets straight from the top to sell at a premium. Luckily, I like very few bands that play massive arenas so this is rarely a problem. Here's hoping that KOL remain awesome but less popular with the popster set. Oh yeah, one last thing the f---ing Palace will charge me at least $15 to park which is nuts because it is cheaper than that to park on Woodward in the middle of downtown when things are going on at all of what is it like 5-6 venues in the "entertainment district". The Palace is in the middle of nowhere directly off of the freeway with no other parking options....except the Post Bar Bus which is $5 a person but in my opinion should be free if you eat or drink there before a show.

I want to
-go the library and rent Dolly Parton's greatest hits.
-watch the Wings win the Cup while consuming a giant carryout order from Buffalo Wild Wings
-go see Away We Go..wear my I love Jim Office t-shirt
-remain hive free..i am on day #2 but have low expectations for the future since I have to weed my flower bed at some point
-play more Boom Blocks and Worms with Ryan and win
-go see Spring Awakening
