News: I just got my Bachelor's degree in mathematics from UWF with a 3.70. Who cares, right? Just keeping you updated is all.
I have been accepted into grad school at UF. Without an assistantship. So how am I going to pay for this whole situation? I have contemplated a few possibilities:
a) Get a good job at one of the one million technical companies in the FWB area (like Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, etc.) and blow-off grad school completely
b) Try to get a math-related job in Gainesville and go to school part-time. Jobs such as these might be nonexistent in Gainesville :-/
c) Get some lame job in Gainesville, take classes part-time, and ease the financial burden with some amount of scholarships, a roommate, or some strange mize like Boxing/MMA fights or male prostitution or something.
Anyways, more importantly, I'm fascinated by the idea of putting four people in a four bedroom apartment or house and splitting the rent. Living would be so unbelievably cheap... it would be unbelievable. It seems to me like just one piece of a puzzle of greatness, and I am still searching for the other pieces.
