Good grief.
So holiday get-togethers are weird now. All everyone does is ask me about the wedding. Have you ever been married before? I don't find it to be terribly stressful unless I listen to other people tell me how stressful it is. No, I have not picked out a dress yet. No, I haven't not picked out my bridesmaids. Yes, that is a very interesting way of doing things at that wedding you went to last spring, but I will not be doing that. Also, I am very happy that if you could get married all over again that you would do things differently. Yes, the wedding is going to be fairly casual, but no you may not bring a crock-pot full of pork 'n' beans. No, I don't know what kind of cake we will have, but I'm pretty sure if I made it now, it would be pretty raunchy tasting in June. No, actually my fiance is very helpful and is a big part of the planning process-why would anyone marry someone who thought they could opt out of various parts of our relationship? Thank you for offering to help, and yes you will be getting an invitation, and I hope to see you there.
