Center round
To make the center of your granny square you are going to first chain 4 and slip stitch in your first chain to make a circle and you are going to chain three and that will count as your first double crochet of the round loop over, make a double crochet by going into the center, make another double crochet and that is your first set of double crochets on the center, chain two, make another set of three double crochets in the center, make another chain two, make another set of three double crochets, make another chain of two and then you will make your final set of three double crochets, you should have four sets of double crochets now, chain two and slip stitch in the top of your beginning chain of three.
Second row
Slip stitch into the top of the second double crochet and then the top of the third and then into the space, not the stitch but the space at the corner, chain three, make two double crochets, chain two, make three more double crochets into that corner space, chain one, and then put three more double crochets into the corner space, chain two, work three more double crochets in that same corner space, chain one, three double crochets in the next corner space, chain two, put another three double crochets in that corner space, chain one, and in the next corner do another set of three double crochets and chain two and another set of three double crochets, chain one and then you are going to put a slip stitch in the top of you beginning chain three of that round.

Slip stitch in the second double crochet at the top and the third double crochet and the space, chain three, put two double crochets in the corner space, chain two, put another three in the same corner space, chain one, and then put three double crochets in the side space, (now on the rounds following this you are going to follow the same pattern, in all the side ones you are gonna have a chain one and then all three double crochet and another chain one and in the corners you will have three double crochets, the two chains and the three double crochets), chain one three double crochets, chain two, three more double crochets in the corner, now on the side chain one, put three double crochets in the side space, make another chain one and three double crochets in the corner space, chain two, three more double crochets in that same corner space, chain one, three double crochets in the side space, chain one, now on this last corner you are gonna do three double crochets, chain two, and three more double crochets, chain one, three double crochets in that last spot, chain one, and then slip stitch in the top of the beginning chain three and repeat that until you have the square the size that you want it.
