Spring has Sprung!

Nice weather, it's just so...nice. *frolics around*

Ooh, i have a some what funny story to share with you. Yes, you! *points at you* Not anyone in particular, i just enjoy pointing at people. *points*

Ok, that was stupid. I'm sorry about that. On with my story. Today, i had my NHS banquet. STOP. Don't begin scrolling down you friends page, continue reading. Really. This is a good story. Trust me. So, i went early to go and help set everything up, and ended up being there for about 2 hours setting up things. There was this band there, setting up things also. One of the boys is a freshman in my Geometry class, and the rest were his cousins from another town. His sister, is in NHS, also in my grade. (Also: I'd say, this band kind of reminded me of POD, or maybe Nickleback. Kind of like Christian rock, but not too sappy. Got the idea?)

I enjoyed this, many young, hot guys running around playing guitars while i put gummy bears on tables. Great Sunday fun! I swear to you, their sound system guy looked exactly like Dave Holmes. I mean, this guy was pretty damn cool. I really wanted to talk to these guys, but i decided to just keep to myself, as i tend to do around hot guys.

I left so i could go home and change, then had to be back about a half hour before the NHS induction began, since i was a greeter. There were like 3 people in there, then all of the band guys walked in, carrying all of their McDonalds food. :o( And the one day i am not working, hot guys make a trip to McDonalds. Then, they started doing this sound check. At first, they were singing "As Long As You Love Me", which made me giggle, since they were a rock band and all. Next, they began playing "All the Small Things". Woo for Blink! So i was just sitting there by myself, enjoying them goof off, when they kept on trying to get someone's attention. They were sound checking the mike's, and kept saying something about "Hey you! At the table!" I didn't think anything of it, since there were about 20 tables in there, with a few people here and there at them. Then, they started pointing at me, and saying hi, trying to get my attention. I just kind of sat there, waved, and yelled hello. I was caught off guard, so i was just kind of like, "Um, hi." They said something else, but i couldn't quite hear them. *shrugs* Then they started singing again.

*side note: Isn't it funny when cute guys who can sing are in the same building as normal, high school guys, and the high school guys must act tough and such? They felt they had to mock them, just to get our attention away from the band. *shakes head* Silly boys.*

But, they did a nice job. Considering their audience were a bunch of snooty, overpaid, overrated people, and me. Other than that, the baquet was pretty boring, but this was expected.

*swoons* After the banquet, one of my friends kind of knew the lead singer and went over to talk to him. (She said she had seen him numerous times at McDonalds, where she also works) She ended up getting his email address. My mom kept on yelling at me to go over and talk to him, but i never did. She was like, "He's checking you out, right now! Go and tell him nice job, or something!" Hmph. I might have, if it wasn't so formal and such, i felt like i had to keep to myself and be good. And, my parents were with me, so i would have felt stupid asking for his number.

But, as i learned from watching Serendipity today, (which was an excellent movie, by the way) if anything is meant to happen, it will.
