Today. Was. AWESOME.
I got back my last essay and test from my hard-grading English professor. I got 49/50 on the essay and I ACED the test.
Then, I did my presentation for Linguistic Anthropology on internet slang and online RP, and the class liked it so much that a couple people commented immediately after with "THAT WAS REALLY GOOD" and then I got a bunch of questions and people were interested in the slang and my analysis of it, and they were really fascinated about the concept of RP and I explained the details on how it worked and stuff. Aaaand as I walked out of the class, people were congratulating me and saying that what I'd talked about was really interesting.
I was grinning widely all the way home. 8D Um, here's the pdf of my powerpoint presentation, since I know some people were interested in taking a look. It's all super-simplified by our standards and prolly sounds pretty dumb, but eh. (Added RP stuff at the end because I wasn't sure I'd have time for it, and I used Wolverine and Spidey since... I needed people they'd recognize. XD;) My 15-20 page paper for it is due on Tuesday, but I'm pretty confident I'll have fun doing it and have a lot to say. :3
Bottom line: WOOOOOOOOOO all around.
