At least I have music...
When I went to Best Buy last week, on the day of release, to pick up my copy of the L Word season 5, they said that they weren't getting it until 2 that afternoon. I wasn't about to drive all the way back to Utica so I let it pass until my next paycheck. Fast forward to today. I got paid so I trotted myself down to Best Buy to pick it up. Now, when I was there a week ago, it was advertised at about $38. Today, it's fucking $69.99! Whether this was Best Buy's or Showtime's doing, I'm not sure but I wasn't about to buy it then and there. So I started looking around, thinking I would check out World Tour... just to see. I asked the guy standing there if they had any of the band sets for PS2 and he said that they weren't even making them for PS2 because they want you to buy the new system! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. He said that my best bet was to open an account, buy the PS3, the whole system, get everything I want and just be done with it. I see right through you Mr. Salesman. Desperate for credit applications, just as all of us in retail.
So after all of my corporate betrayals I decided to look around at the music, see what was new. I skipped over the new Pink for now, sometimes her cds are hit or miss. But I did find that Jem has a new cd! I picked it up and then put it down thinking I would check out the songs first because I knew nothing about them. Then I figured that I was so pleased with Finally Woken and I would probably like this one too. You really can't go wrong with Jem. I love it!!! This one has even more diversity than the last one. She makes me happy =)
So... now I've got it in my mind that I should just break down and buy a PS3... or maybe a wii. I know they've gotten cheaper and I *might* be able to convince mom to go halves with me. If we got a wii then it would help the both of us as well as provide us with hours of endless entertainment. We shall see I suppose. I'm going to research prices.
